Cool unfabulous arm flab...

So i've been measuring myself since april and have lost a total of 13.5 inches so far... but my arms have stayed the same. What kind of excercises do you do to firm and get rid of that extra flab.. I find mine highly unattractive. Help?

I know what you mean! I hate doing them, but I try and do 20 or more push ups a day. Or when watching TV, during commercials, I use 3 or 5lbs weights and with my elbows kept close to my body I do curls from my chest, down, then back up (tricepe curls I think they're called? LOL). Once and a while I do some rowing at the gym.

Good Luck

Bicep curls and triceps extensions will help. Don't forget to work your deltoids too.

I've been doing weights since November. First the arm muscles came up, but now I am noticing some of the "batwings" are disappearing and also the upper part of each arm has somehow flattened out, they look much less round. I'm probably not describing it properly but that's how it looks to me. I'm doing bcep curls, triceps extensions, and pull downs plus a few other machines I'm not sure do what, but they make your arms sore LOL

Tricep extensions, tricep kickbacks, dips (using a chair or a bench).
I would add some other arm exercises (for shoulders and biceps) just to balance it out - arnolds, lateral flyes, W's, etc.
You can buy one of the P90X DVD's individually on eBay - look for "Shoulders and Triceps". There are also other exercises on it targeting triceps but I don't recall the names.

Correction - it's called "Chest, Shoulders and Triceps" - here is a clicky.

Ugh, I know how you feel! I've lost 37 lbs. now, but I feel like my arm flab has barely changed! I'm still refuse to wear tank tops or sleeveless shirts out in public and probably won't until my giant, squishy arms go away!

It's really hard to target fat loss from specific parts of the body, but all the previous posts are correct. Try to get your weight training in at least 4-6 times per week and remember to stretch!

i have noticed a tremendous difference with all the above mentioned suggestions, so I won't reiterate. Just today I kind of hugged myself (because I was cold) and immediately smiled at the difference I could FEEL. What I have now is HARD! It's so awesome!

I do arm exercises from videos to tighten and tone, but my secret weapon so far are push ups. I started at only being about to do 10 full ones, but now I can do 30. Lately I haven't felt like doing as many, but I'll try to maintain any muscle I may have gained by doing at least 20 every night. Push ups have lifted and toned my arms a lot! They also work my stomach. My stomach is so much stronger now, which makes things easier on the rest of my body.

All of the above exercises can help. If you stick with them.
Also your diet is very important. I heard Dr. Oz say that the underarm is one of the fat storage places that women have. Men don't store fat there.
Some people are going to have loose skin also. Not much you can do about that. Except for surgery. And that makes scars.

Do your exercises and be the best you can be, and don't worry about it (easier said than done, right?)
