Default sore muscles

I started working on some resistance training yesterday and now today I'm pretty sore. I'm also doing the C25K running plan and today should be a running day but I'm not sure whether or not I should take the day off to let my muscles feel better. I know that you aren't supposed to work the same muscles 2 days in a row with lifting but does the same thing apply to other types of workouts done after a lifting session?

Drink lots of water, go for a light run, stretch a lot afterwards, have fun.... but go anyways... Cardio and weight training are not the same... I would say take it easy on running if you had a very heavy leg session, but if you didn't, jost go for a nice jog....IMHO...

Be mindful of shin splints, but otherwise you should be fine. I work through the pain, even when lifting. Yes, take a day off between muscle groups when lifting, but if I'm still sore on my lifting days, I lift anyway.
