Default Gym Help

Since 1996, I've done Jazzercise. I love Jazzercise! I love dancing, socializing, full body workout in 1 hour. It's FUN! Jazzercise is no longer in my area, so I just joined the gym. I've been twice. I've ridden the elliptical machine. I've done some upper torso work with free weights. I don't know how to use most of the weight machines. The cardio machines seem to work only lower body -- redundantly. There are aerobic classes offered at the gym, but not during a time can attend. Bottom line, I need to find some fun at the gym or I'm not going to do it. Any suggestions? Do you have fun at the gym or do you just go through the routine because it's a necessary evil?

I've done some classes at my gym but I basically hang in in the weight room. Eventually you meet like minded people and can have great friendships. I go on line and get my routines there area ton of sites with workouts. One that has good workous is Train with me on-line. I love working out on my own, I can do what I want, when I want, but then that's just me...Everyone is different. Since you like to dance so much maybe some dancing DVDs would be more your forte...

Do they have a pool? Maybe some water aerobics classes? I noticed that those are sometimes at odd hours in relation to other classes.

Do you have a friend there that you can talk to while you workout or a friend you can convince to join? That might give you a bit of fun and socializing while you're on the elliptical.

Maybe you could also request that they add some classes at different times if possible.
