just wanted to "chime" in here ... Windchime, i actually double up on my bras as suggested above! Packs the girls right in so at least eliminates any random adjacent movement going on from my upper torso and above. Your bra may very well be the culprit!!

oh and zinke, I'm definitely getting out there, if I have to do "day 2½" of week 5, 3 times just to hit the 20 minutes!

I just downloaded this program onto my IPOD and hope to start it next week. It sounds like you all really like it! I'm rather psyched about it now. I will post more after I start the program.

But, six months after I began the C25K I ran a 10K race!! Yep, you read it right, 10K!!

I'm currently in training for a half marathon and plan to do a marathon next April.

So, if you're sitting there thinking "Who am I to think I can actually do this - I can't run!" - remember that we all started the exact same way. You CAN do it - I promise!
thanks for the vote of confidence for us!!!

I think it's awesome too that you are going to be doing the London Marathon next year. That's what I would love to do... be a REAL runner and be a success at it (meaning, I could run a 5 or 10K, half-marathon, marathon, etc) in the future!

go for it Mel!! We'll be happy to cheer you on!! I find it so much better on the iPod than just with the stopwatch - we did that up to week 5 and then I realised there was actually a podcast for the thing!

Yeah, it says I can use my own music and it will give the prompts as to when to run, when to walk and the halfway point. I did the breast cancer 5k and would love to be able to run it and get a good time rather than just walk it. Plus I am considering the 3 day so definitely need to get into better shape for that.

where is this app that i can add my own music to? i am iTunes illiterate.

I tried the c25k last spring and bailed after week 4. This spring my friend convinced me that we needed to do something together when we see each other in September. Our plans started out with a 5k but she has already done one of those. Then it turned into a 10k. We couldn't find anything within close driving distance for the weekend she will be here. She suggested a half mary that is nearby but that intimidates me to much. I was so glad we found the 8 miler. I have 12 weeks to finish training and as of now I am confident that I can do it. I am sure I will start to panic more the closer it gets.

I would LOVE to be a "C" cup--I'm a G! Yes, a G! I'm stuffed into a pretty good bra but it is several years old so a new one is definitely in order. That's on my task list for tomorrow; to order a new one. I had to go to Seattle to be fitted for bras and to buy some because nobody in this small town carries them. The "Full Figure" sections of most of the stores only go up to DD. Pfffft--amateurs!

Good job, Renee!!

I decided to start over on week 6. I did Day 1 tonight and it wasn't bad at all. So I'm moving forward again. Yay, me!

Congrats Renee!

I love running. I am still eating a LOT and the scale dropped some more this morning. I am at my lowest weight that I can remember in at least 10 years, probably closer to 15.
