My abdominals are the same way. I have a pic up of them. But this is after I wake up in the morning. I weigh 150-151 depending on how much I consume that day. I know your pain. And cardio is making my stomach smaller and making it look wrinkly! I have had 4 kids so if I look too bad after all the weight, I AM getting surgery. Sometimes I feel like Im going to have to be so skinny before I look my best.

Check out the tips at prevention.com in the flat belly diet section. It is under weight loss.

Hi,

I only do the stationary bike for my cardio and it works for me. I have a problem with belly fat as well, but I have lost 10 inches from my waist and it's because of the cardio. I hope that helps.

I have heard that if you take CLA, it's from safflower oil. It will help to reduce belly and hip fat. I spoke with someone who has been taking it for a while, along with diet and exercise and lost 5 inches from her hips in 3 months and a couple off of her waist.

You can purchase CLA at any vitamin or healthfood store.

interval training is the best way to get rid of belly fat. There are studies that the abdominal fat responds best to HIIT. I would rev up your recumbent sessions for a couple of 1 min intervals to get the HR to your max, and then come back down.

For me I can do this on the recumbent 20 min at 16 mph and 10 min in 2 min intervals at 22-23 mph. so it would be 5 min 16mph/2 min 22-23 mph for 30 min. adding the punches also brings your HR up too.

make sure your diet is good of course--not too many calories. Also, I know it is controversial, but I do believe working out on an empty stomach or at least 3 hours after you eat gets to the fat quicker.
