Well to improve the look of your arms, you need to do a couple things, burn off the fat and work the muscles.

In order to work the muscles, I'd recommend at looking at pushups, the 100 day pushup challenge is a good place to look for that: http://hundredpushups.com/

You can also do tricep pushups (hands closer together) and tricep dips
http://exercise.about.com/b/2004/08/...ricep-dips.htm

To burn off the fat, I'd look at an all over body workout along with cardio.
I highly recommend reading through stumptuous:

I also think about.com has some useful information on beginner strength training workouts:

clarelou,

I am with ya! I am getting married in Vegas in May and I need to get rid of the flabby jobbies. I have not used weights until this point in my weight loss b/c I did not want to "bulk up". That is the last thing I need to do at almost 6foot tall

Tammy,

As a woman, weights won't bulk you up but they will help give you shapely arms and body but you still need to lose the fat to help see the shape that muscle will help give you. Don't be afraid of the weights

THANKS!!! for Jillian's video. I've been looking for new dumbbell exercises, to mix up my routine. This was wonderful.

Clarelou, thanks so much for posting this. I have decent biceps but terrible flappy upper arms. I suspect much of it is loose skin, but I want to do what I can for what's underneath it.
