SHY ~Way to get up and going this morning! thanks for asking about Reba...if I can keep her from licking her foot she will be fine in a few days. LOVNMOM ~ Sounds like a lot of "playing" going on around your house and the school...are you sure you can call that a work-out? ;) TOYS ~ those miles are really adding up great job! COLDBRIGHTDAY ~ Keep up the good work! DIXIE'S MOM ~ ha! that is a Dr. Seuss Fox in Socks that my girls are tearing up. Rennie and Gracey, Great jobs as usual. Woo hoo!!
Um Gary, you think bike riding with 2nd graders is playing....yesterday our little village held their annual "Old Fashion Day." The entire down town is blocked off. Vendors fill the streets, city wide garage sales, kid's games, bed races (drunks push beds on rollers down the main street, stop change the sheets and down a 12oz beer, push some more, stop again change the "baby's" diaper (usually the most drunk teammate) and down another 12 oz beer and then continue onto the finsh line). It's all good clean "white trash" fun. I as the Cub Master in town run a "box" car derby race. The car is a box we decorate. The children hold them and run 3 laps. Lap 1. their pit crew washes their windshield ( a spray in the face and a paper towel dry off ) Lap 2. they refuel ( drink 8 oz of water ) The 3rd Lap they change tires ( exchange their shoes for firemen boots ) The kids have a blast. I always offer High School kids a dollar to run it for our entertainment etc...my in-laws donate cool medals for 12 winners etc...My son's in the Troop and they ran a car bash (remove all the glass from an old car and let people pay you to beat on it with a sledgehammer ) Yes, young men are more than willing to pay so they can show off for the ladies. Anyway, I had a blast. Walked in the parade and back and forth running events etc.. from 9am - 6pm. So, even though it doesn't sound like much of a "workout" I'm counting an hour ;) Today, I'm off to Madison for the Cystic Fibrosis 10k. We've got a lot of youth in our group so I have no idea how many miles we'll actually walk. You are allowed to drop out at 2,4 or 6. I'll report later how many we get done!!! Have just an awesome day you bunch of wonderful people!! 14 of 31 hours |
AWESOME LOVNMOM! Old fashion Day sounds like a ton and a half of fun!! wish we had that here!
I remember those scout days. My mom was a Den leader, I was a den leader and co-leader of my daughter's Girl Scouts. So much fun! Have a great 10K...outstanding! |
I've finished my first official walk ever and had a blast!!!! Our team had 133 of the total 453 walkers in the event. $164,000+ were raised $30,000 more than last year!!! Woo Hooo! Our special guy was given the honor of cutting the ribbon and we were off. Such good comradarie and fun. I will definitely do something like this again.
Hope you all had a great weekend! 15 1/2 of 31 hours |
Up and at it early today. I've had such a long week of doing for others I've decided to surprise my hubby today. My mother's coming to stay with our children for the night. I'm going to pick the hubs up from work and whisk him somewhere...where we will end up I have no idea, but we will be soaking in a hot tub somewhere and not coming home until tomorrow.
Have an awesome Monday! 1 hour yoga 16 1/2 of 31 hours |
Sorry I have been MIA this week. I knew I was going to run into a problem with my lack of time this week. I got in a 3mile run late this morning. Goodness it was hot! Luckily it has started raining!!! We have been in such a dry spell, that our front lawns look like hay! Anyway, total for the month so far is 37/45 running. I am going to try to set the alarm early tomorrow and get a long run in before taking the kiddies to school. I have good intentions...........

Over goal since I had a slow week at work two weeks ago...and still more days in May! 77.5/75 MILES |
Finally did that 4 mile run. My first ever! Not that bad at all, really -- the middle was kinda rough but by the end I felt like I could've gone another mile, easy. Planning to try for 5 next weekend.
Tonight I'm thinking a 3-4 mile walk. Thanks for being here ladies... just thinking about reporting back to y'all keeps me moving, and you're all doing so awesome, so that's extra inspiring. XO, Stella |
Sorry been MIA - work and life stress was getting to me. But I'm back and some backlogged miles to report (not many unfortunately).
5-12: 2.5 miles 5-19: 2.0 miles 5-20: 2.0 miles 18.75/50 umm yeah....let's just say May was a bad month. I've still got some time to make up some miles but I don't see 30+ miles coming in the next 11 days. Going to try to at least get close though and re-try for 50 in June! |
Yesterday Total Miles 88.4 Goal 132
1. Walk Away The Pounds With Leslie Sansone 3 Mile Super Fat Burning ( 48 Min ) 2. Walk Away the Pounds Express With Leslie Sansone 4 Mile Super Challenge ( 58 Min ) |
Baskgal, Your doing great. I bet you'll have another over goal month. WTG!!! Here we've had so much rain, snow, rain everything is very green and too wet. We can usually see sprouts in the fields by now, but hardly anything has even been planted yet. Keep going you're doing awesome.
Gracey, You're really doing awesome. That tickers moving down and you are headed for that bikini. Pats on the back for you!! Gary, So glad Reba's feeling better. Are you taking the rest of the month off sinse you're over goal?!?! ;) Stella, Furious on the 4. You should be so proud!! Rennie, Keep on a moving girl. You are kicking butt!!! Cakeses, I'm with you. My schedule has just not left room for the amount of exercise I like to get in. We may be down, but we are not out girlfriend. We have a few days left in May and then June is a whole new ballgame as they say. Let's keep moving!! Had a real blast with the Hubs. I picked him up at work Mon. and whisked him to Majestic Pines casino in Black River Falls,WI. We gambled, ate too much, drank a little, soaked in the hot tub, watched some movies, relaxed. It was awesome. Not near long enough. We were gone 24.5 hours total, but it did really help. I'm off to Circus World Museum with my son's class today. I know it's lame, but we'll be walking and playing all day again so I'm counting 1 hour. I can't waite until June so I can have my life back. These are good times, but I feel kinda ugh. Too much fast food not enough heart pounding exercise. My weight's up 3#, but I have a few days to get that to drop back down before it's "official." It's times like these that I have to remember I'm still 7# less than I was in November and just keep moving forward. Thanks for always being here for motivation! 17.5 of 31 hours |

Have a great Memorial Day Week-End Everyone! |
6 miles total commute-walking over the last two days, and 2 miles on the treadmill yesterday morning.
My training schedule (for a 5K on June 1st) says 3 miles today, and I really want to do that, but I feel totally wiped out. I'm quitting my job and starting school soon and getting ready to start training my replacement who starts next week and DAMN is there a lot to do between now and then. I'm very happy to be starting school but feeling SO frazzled. Maybe a good run would actually revitalize me... |
