Great job L and ceegee, both past goal already and still moving!!!
4 more on the TM yesterday. The wind blew so hard yesterday it looked like it was snowing even though it wasn't. We're not suppose to get out of the below zeros (singles for a high temp) until next Mon and now their saying more snow is on the way AGAIN. On my way to the kitchen this morning I looked at my TM and said, " I got a date with you later. " I'm pretty sure it cringed and tried backing into the corner. We're going to have to have a talk if his bad attitude continues. This is his work season. He knew it when he moved in!!! lol
Lovnmom, you are too funny! i set my goal low because of the weather which in no were near as cold as it is in WI.
We are going to have a strech of 30's which is just fine for walking outside. I am setting aside about 2 hours this moring for walking. I am frustrated with work ( I run auctions for schools from home) and since I work late into the night sometimes i refuse to spend the whole day tied to the computer. I will post my walk later, but I am shooting for 75mles this month which looks doable.
L, I purposely set my miles higher this month to keep me determined and motivated. The really frigid temps usually only last 2 - 3 weeks, but combine that with the busy basketball season and it can sure spell derailment. Being a stay at home mom many days there is no real reason to leave the house until the children's activities in the evening and on the weekends. And when it's too cold to get outside the simple carbs just call my name all day. If I blow it during the week it's easy to tell myself to go ahead and eat nachos, pizza, or brats at the kids basketball games and before you know it January's failure leads into Feb and maybe even March before I'm back on track. That's why I'm really appreciating this forum. It's keeping me on track at a very difficult time.
So, thanks everybody!!!
3.3 miles last night.....22.6/40. I took some advice to slow down the pace, and instead of 2x2 (run x walk) @6.2 i slowed it to 5.7 and hit 3x2!!! i was so excited i can't remember the last time i was able to jog for 3 mins repeatedly. So thank for the advice and the support fellow chicks. As for my goal...i'm only calculating miles logged on the treadmill for this, and keeping my own tally for crosstraining days. It's nice to see everyone's numbers getting higher and higher...keep at it! <--- wonder how many miles this guy has logged
2 miles last night while watching TBL. I ran during the commercial breaks which I now know from doing this routine this week and last are 3 minutes and 30 seconds long almost every time.
