Exercise Accountability - Nov 2007

Wow, it's November already! :turkey:

Have fun exercising, losing weight & maintaining. You are ALL beautiful!

To everyone celebrating this month! :happ3:

Diva 11-01-2007 02:52 PM

Does 2 hour grocery shopping, climbing up and down steps and putting them away count as exercise? Cuz I worked up and sweat and now I am pooped, not to mention my wallet is a lot lighter. lol :D

kjackson215 11-01-2007 05:51 PM

Well I sure started off this month with a negative BANG! But it was so yummy!! :) Not to get down off to the gym soon! For at least 30 mins of cardio

Elegant Departure 11-01-2007 10:43 PM

45 mins of turbo jam and two 20 minute walks with my dog!

blondebritbrat17 11-02-2007 12:01 AM

LOL yes Diva, it does count as exercise! I live on a second floor apartment myself and when I take the bags out of my car it's a work out to say the least. When I first moved into this apartment the first month or so I was soo sore. I've definitely toned up some. I just ordered some videos from beachbody and I ordered Slim in 6 and their Hip Hop Abs dance series :carrot: and I already have the Turbo Jam videos and some of the yoga booty ballet videos as well. So I am reaffirming my commitment this month to exercising starting in the morning. It's 11pm at night now and if I worked out now the people below us for sure would hear me lol.

May I come in and play?

I gave myself the challenge of doing one of my videos every day this month. Since boobalah is now joining me, I have had to go back to the 1 & 2 mile WATP. However, he tore something in his calf Saturday morning and had to drop out. I think he'll be able to rejoin me by Wednesday.

Today I did the WAT Waist with the belt.

I did the complete 5 mile workout with the belt, stretchie and weights yesterday.

We helped my DD move on Saturday. Poor boobalah was wearing an ace bandage but he did it. He did have to take some Advil in the afternoon.

nicolen 11-06-2007 11:37 AM

Yesterday was supposed to be a gym workout, but when I got there, I wasn't that focussed, so gave it 20 minutes and gave up. Went for half an hour walk after dinner, so that still counts!

Diva 11-06-2007 12:58 PM

cbmare 11-07-2007 12:09 PM

We did the Fat Burner Walk with weights this morning. Well, boobalah used the weights. We have to get my ankle weights out of the scuba kit so I can hold those.

Lemme ask you all a question...

First of all, Where is Ez Money? Has anyone seen him?

And 2. Which do y'all think is better and would burn more calories? A stationary bike or a gazelle? I want them both for Christmas, but at tis time I have to choose.

I think Gary posted in the maintainers thread that he's out of town for a few days.

Is a gazelle like an elliptical runner? If so, it is likely to burn a few more calories than the stationary bike. Because you use the bike sitting sitting down, I've noticed that you have to work much, much harder to get your heart rate up than you do on a treadmill or elliptical. Nevertheless, whichever you like better and will use more will burn more calories in the long run. :)

Diva 11-09-2007 10:51 AM

This is the Gazelle:
http://www.amazon.com/Gazelle-1285-Edge/dp/B0000AS7W2

I've had one before but had to sell it. I really did like it alot. it worked a lot of muscles all over my body even in places I didn't know I had them LOL!

But I was hoping a stationary bike would halp me build up my theigh muscle endurance because 15 minutes of riding my Mountain Bike outside and my legs are burning so bad I have to stop and that's just a bummer, so I dunno....

Maybe I'll get the gazelle for Xmass and go get a staionary Bike sometime after Christmas.

Glad to hear gary is ok. Seems weird in this thread without him. :)

cbmare 11-09-2007 11:00 AM
