October Run/Walk Challenge
Post your goals!
scaling back this month, but I ran 5 this morning Run 5/80 Stroller 0/10 |
Well seeing as I keep missing my goals due to injuries and/or laziness, I am going to be conservative and say 40 for the month.
3.62 done today, ran 1 mile of that - have some sort of back muscle pain or a pinched nerve in the lower back and when exercising I am fine but as soon as I am done ouch. Even stretching killed my back. Not sure how to remedy that one. 3.62/40 |
I'm going to stick closely to where I was last month. Each run day I run 2 miles plus walk half a mile in my warm up/cool down, so I'm just going to add that in. Also, doing it all inclusive--no more distinguishing between walking and running--just the total.
42 miles total I'll start tomorrow. |

I'm going for 125 as normal, but I don't think I'll make it this month, with marathons to taper for, run, recover from and taper again (aarrrggghhh)
Still, I'm on the way, at 5.5/125 |
I can't tell how my month will play out because so much depends on what we do at cross country practice, but I'll have to skip some practices for other school responsibilities, sadly (for example, this week I just ran today and won't be able to run again until the weekend!!) I'll stick with 80 as my goal and hope that I can make it!!

I have doubled my goal the last two months since I had more "home" time. I am continuing with a 3.25 mile goal each day although I will probably go at least 10 days with zero miles, as I am going to go to Illinois and take care of my mom while my sister comes here to visit her grandbaby and kids. I took yesterday off because of a long day at work. Today I got in a 3 mlie dog walk and 2 treadmill miles.

Increasing 10 miles over last month's goal, which was 50 miles and I exceeded that. So I will shoot for 60 walking/elliptical miles for October. :running:

Losingit ~ NOT silly if you don't know! the first number is the miles you have reached so far for the month...the second is the goal number. As you can see the first day of the month I had 5 miles out of my goal for 100...today I add 5 more.

10/2 = 2.5 miles 10/4 = 2.5 miles 5/42 Oh, and good news! I have finally motivated DH to join me!! He's starting the c25k program on Tuesday! |
2.25 today which included a 1.5 mile run. I am *finally* getting back into it.
Oh I also am lifting twice a week now, so I will add that as well to see how far I get in that regard! 8.63/40 40 mins lifting (tues/thurs) |

Today is a day off of running, so I figured I'd try to trick my body and do step aerobics. OMG it's been a year since I have done that and it totally worked different muscles. I think that might be my "off" day exercise of choice now!

2.35 today of which 1.25 was running. Felt okay but the gym was freezing and once I started sweating it was a bad combination. Yuck! Should have stayed home :) I did however find the other gym on post and it has tennis courts and a pool!
