I somehow got it together today after an hour water aerobics. Took my 3 year old out for a stroller run - haven't done that in ages! It was way harder pushing a jogging stroller than just running alone.
I tried mapmyrun.com but since my sub is new, I don't think I got the right distance, so I might change it later.
2.4 miles total with 1.1 running. I think this is way off but good enough to put down now before I forget.
i just found a 5k in my area for the beginning of october... i'm thinking maybe i should give it a try. i haven't raced or trained seriously since april, but it'd be a great way to get back into it.
2.25 miles this afternoon with a stroller. nice walk and awesome for my bum with the hills! =)
So.....can I say again how much you sandbagged your goal gary?
As I said before ENNAY ~ if I set my goals low ~ I can achieve them! Seriously, working close to home PLUS being slow at work right now really helps with "walking" time! Put a 3 o'clock ALARM on ~ 100+ mile ONE WAY ~ So. Cal. afternoon traffic ~ a couple of beers ~ and I am pretty sure my low goal set ~ is UNACHIEVABLE! .... for me
IRIS ~Do the 5K...no better time to start back than NOW! 2 weeks is plenty of time to train for a 5K since you have trained before.
Chances are I won't meet my goal this month, even though it was a small goal. Cross country practices are always shorter runs, and now I have this weird leg pain. Sigh...
LISA ~ What level cross country kids do you run with? Are you a coach? My son ran cross country in high school and coached high school cross country while he was in college.
I was walking this morning (3.75 kms) and I met one of those hoody kids with the baggy clothes and wrecked shoes. He looked me up and down, in my brown jogging suit with pink stripes and pink hat. After he passed, I wondered if he'd think much less of me if he knew I was listening to Michael Jackson.
