I love mine. I bounce while listening to podcasts. I have the Walmart version which seems very sturdy to me and fits under the bed when I am done with it.

I absolutely love my mini trampoline (belacor brand). The one I have is very expensive, but the mat part is attached with bungee cords instead of springs. The bounce is incredible, plus it is a good 12 inches off the ground. I had a cheaper typical mini trampoline years ago, but it squeaked alot, and many times I thought I would come close to hitting the floor and just plain fall apart (maybe i'm just a little aggressive on it though
I do this along with the 30ds for jumping jacks, and you can actually run on it. Also, they make them for different body weights.

Anyway, I love it, its pricey yes, but its a really good product. The bungee cords make a world of difference

What a great idea! What is the impact on the ankles like? I am recovering from a bad sprain, so I am looking for lower impact cardio options.

I have one of the Wal-Mart cheapie ones and I like it. I know that it helps a lot with blood sugar problems. I was not feeling well this past Sunday which often affects my blood sugar. I took a reading and it was elevated so I used the mini for 10 minutes and dropped my blood sugar about 50 points. It's a good workout without hurting the joints.

I just bought the urban rebounder on amazon for about $100. Seems like very good quality for not too expensive.
Got one at Academy for $25, and it doesn't have springs! I thought the bounce was bad so I returned it.

Anyone closer to the 300lb mark ever used the urban rebounder? I've seen one on the website that says its a gym urban rebounder with a 350lb weight limit and one on amazon that says 300lb weight limit. I'm just a little shy of 300 so I was wondering if it will really hold up.

I have not used my mini-tramp, yet and have a question. Am I understanding that just bouncing is good exercise? Also, if I start out with bouncing for five minutes, how often should I increase my time?

Hi Sloan,
I would think any movement you do would be beneficial. As far as when to add more time it just happened naturally in my case. It just got easier and I wanted to do more. My favorite way to use mine is following a Leslie Sansone walk dvd and adding more jogging and jumping than I would have otherwise. I have terrible balance as a result of Meniere's disease and the mini tramp has helped me considerably in improving my balance. When I first started I went real slow and watched my feet a lot now after only a couple of months I still have to focus but not nearly as much. Hope this helps.

Congrats on your weight loss so far. I notice we are both 5'2. I can't wait to be in the 130's. Just a little while longer and I can have a ticker too!

I take it you haven't tried it yet? 'Cause it tires you out very quickly! (At least, it does on a bigger trampoline, I assume/hope the minis are the same way.)

I have been wanting one for a long time but is there a weight limit on the mini tramp? How much do they usually cost?

Hello: Newbie here.

I'm in the market for a mini trampoline but don't know what brand is the best. I'm 67 with weak ankles and approx. 164 lbs or about 20 lbs overweight.

I also suffer from BPPV (vertigo) and bad balance and depth perception so I need a tramp with a balance bar that won't take up a whole lot of room.

Any and all recommendations would be helpful

Thanx.

Smile Trampolines...Woohoo!

I like trampolines. I haven't used mine much yet I just got it last month. I bought mine from a sproting store around here. It's a brand called InMotion, 36" and folding (although it does look that the folding is not worth the effort). It seems stiffer than I thought it would be but it is really fun! I youtubed some trampoline exercises, but really it looks like most of the cardio you can do otherwise is just put with it, and I'm told you work a lot of areas bouncing around.

If anyone is interested I think I paid like 40something plus shipping on their site. I'd have to dig up the name of the place. I should have just gone over and picked it up though. I called Wal-Mart and K-Mart and they both proceeded to tell me that they do not sell mini-trampolines, just big ones!! You know how mad I was to see one at Wal-Mart with a little computer thingy and everything!! Argh! (I wanted to go get one not get one off the site at the time)

Either way, mine is only rated for 250lbs. I'm close to it and it still seems quite strong. It's the spring kind, but the springs are covered. I wanted a bit higher rating. They rate between 150-350 as far as I've seen, and some places don't tell you the ratings!!

Also they come in bigger sizes... I've seen 36, 38, 40, 42, and I think 48. Prices vary... something like 40-150 or so.

Love my mini trampoline! I haven't used it in a while as I have been doing other stuff as far as workouts go but I have a rebounding challenge coming up on my blog so I'm really excited to get to it again. It's such a low impact workout but you can really work up a sweat on it if you choose too. I have one rebounding DVD and it's good but I would love to have a few more for variety.

I would highly recommend a mini trampoline!

still people are not aware of the benefits from doing rebounding. Mini trampolines are not such a costly equipmet to afford. Fun through exercise is the best part.
