Default Adult Trike

Yes I am getting one. I know how to ride a bike but at my current fitness level I am not confident to ride a regular bike. I am thinking of purchasing an adult trike for stability and to get out there now. I do now want to wait anymore for that magic number to appear on the scale before I go riding. I hope to progress back to a two wheeler so will not get anything too expensive. Anyone else tried this? Thoughts?

I never learned how to ride a bike, so the trike is really the only option I have if I want to join my family for a ride around our neighborhood. DH promised me one a couple years ago, and he has yet to follow through.

I'm thinking if it makes you comfortable and gets you out there, go for the trike.
I would go to a decent bike shop and test drive if you can. You may also want to look at a recumbent bike. It's a two wheeler, but usually closer to the ground so not as far to fall.
