Default Nintendo Wii?

What do you guys think?

http://wiinintendo.net/2007/01/15/wi...iment-results/

We got a Wii a couple days ago, and last night I played around for 20 min or so not even full effort, by the end I was starting to sweat and this morning my shoulder is sore.

Think you could do it for exercise? just wondering....

Awesome! I am so excited about exercise again! Riding my bike was really getting boring!

We have an Xbox 360, I am going to check into that game.

I have a Wii and some of the games are a def a workout. The baseball game is like doing woodchoppers. I always feel it in my abs. Boxing is the only one that really gets me sweating though. Hopefully they bring out more active games for it.

I'm planning on buying a Wii for this very reason. Waiting till they're a bit cheaper and then will get one. I have EyeToy exercise on my Playstation, but that's specific exercise, where the Wii is fun!

The boxing is a great workout!! Tennis is fun too. The bowling just makes my elbow sore. There is supposed to be a new Wii Fitness game, but I don't know when it comes out.

The thing to be careful with the Wii is that once you get the hang of it you can actual play most of the games sitting down just using your wrist. Believe me when my husband & his friends get together to play it - they do NOT get a workout.lol

We have a wii, the only games console I enjoy playing. I play baseball, tennis and bowling on it. Is there anyway of trying to work out how many calories can be burnt playing the wii?

I must put my two cents in on this one as well... Wii is def a workout for me! I love tennis rallies! And the baseball is great! I can play this for 30-40 min and I really feel my heart pumping and the glisten on my forehead. Just be carefull beacause the next day my sholders were killing me and was hard to do my regular weight training.
Thumbs up for Wii!!

I found this while looking for the release date for Wii Fit. It's from www.wiifit.net

-------------------------------------------

Exercise from video games? What was once just a finger muscle building exercise has now launched into a full body sweat-a-thon! According to latest reports, gamers can burn up to 1,800 calories from 12 hours of play time (which is the average among gamers per week). A UK study also described Wii and video games in general, as great tools for increasing dexterity for people like surgeons who must work quickly with their hands.

Default Wii Workout///Cheap Gym!!

I think Wii is a great workout too. My nephew got one for Christmas and I think I play it more than he does!! I love the tennis, boxing and baseball. Its a great motivator.

I've also starting working out at the gym at one of our local church's recreation buildings. Anyone who wants to work out and can't afford Curves/Y/etc. should check some of your local (probably larger) churches. I only had to pay $10 a month for membership!!! And they have tennis courts, basketball court, workout room with treadmills, stair climbers, weights, yoga balls, punching bags, steps (for step aerobics), bikes and the strength/circuit training machines.

Best bargain I've gotten in a LONG time!!

Cool, I was watching my niece bowl and play baseball yesterday, and said to myself "Finally something to get the kids off of the couch!"
