Default Tofu Virgin Tries it and LOVES it

Hey guys, wanted to share a recipe with you, please forgive me, but I didnt measure alot of the ingredients, there is alot of room to adjust according to your tastes.

My husband HATES tofu, yet he had never tried it! And I myself have tried a few times and was not a fan. But I wanted to give it a try so I thought and thought about flavors that would blend well and this is what we came up with

Tofu and Greens

1 block Extra Firm tofu---Cut the block in half so you have two blocks only half as tall. Put on a plate covered in paper towels, cover the tofu and place a heavy plate onto. This will help extract the moisture. Let this set while you prepare everything elese

1 head of bok choy, or better yet 4-5 heads of baby bok choy! Slice the stems thin and the leaves in chucks, if you have baby choy I would just slice them in quarters the long way!
Fresh Ginger, about the size of your thumb, minced
4-5 cloves garlic, minced
2-3 zuchini sliced thin )could leave out and just add more bok choy
1 onion sliced in half then thinley sliced

Sauce--mix together in a bowl
2 TBLS soy sauve, or Braggs, I used braggs
1 TBL honey
1 TBL corn starch
1 TBL seseme oil
Red pepper flakes if you like it kicked up a few notches!

Stir fry the stems of the bok choy and the onions till starting the wilt, remove from pan, stir fry the zuchini, add greens, ginger and garlic. Add bok choy you set aside and top with sauce ingredients, cook about a minute and remove from pan.

Tofu, cut into 1 inch cubes or so. Coat with 2 TBL corn starch and 2 TBL flour and 3 TBL seseme seeds. Cook in shallow pan of oil, till crispy and lightly brown, drain on paper towels

We served the tofu cubes ontop of the greens, but you want to add them
together at the last minute so they dont get soggy

This may seem like alot of steps, but it was very quick really, especially if two people are working together. One block of tofu fed 4 of us, but next time we will make a block and a half for the 4 of us.

I came up with 190 calories and 11 grams of fat when split into 4 servings!

This sounds wonderful! I myself fell in love with tofu when eating chinese food at a buffet one day. I don't know why, I just liked the texture, I suppose. And the way it absorbs flavors doesn't hurt, lol!
