Chicken Cacciatore Soup

  • Can someone run this throught MC and let me know the points per serving. This is really good.

    Chicken Cacciatore Soup
1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts , diced
3 small cans lowfat chicken broth
    1 1/2 cup rotini
    1 onion, chopped
    1 green pepper, chopped
26 ounces spaghetti sauce, low fat
    14 ounces stewed tomatoes, chopped
    1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
    1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
4 ounces canned mushroom slices, drained
    1/4 cup parmesan cheese

Brown chicken in large nonstick pot. _Add broth and rotini; simmer about 15 minutes until pasta is tender. _Add remaining ingredients except cheese and simmer about 20 minutes. _Sprinkle with parmesan just before serving.
  • If this is 6 servings (I'm not sure), it comes to 7 points... 355 cals; 8 fat grams; 6 fiber grams.

  • Thanks Kelly Q!

Been a while since I posted, and just saw your post.

Yes, I can usually get 6 servings out of a pot of soup. Try the recipe--it is quite satisfying.

    Even Hubby like it!
