My mom is always asking about the ab lounge even after I said waste ur money on something better. I am starting to wonder about its worth myself but at $100 I can tell u something that has been said to be effective over and over again. The exercise ball. Yep, that thing does work. Get the ball and a good video for about $20 to 35 together and use the thing. This thing won't make u do it the lazy way and it will get u in shape making ur abs stronger. Try it if u don't agree return it. I have told my mom about it and my dad asked after watching a few fitness shows and doing some research about the exercise ball. It is the best thing to use to up the ante on ur ab work and the only other thing I can say is also effective if this thing is too hard for anyone is to do basic situps and variations like side situps until ur strong enough to use this thing. In truth the third option is to do leg raises of a chin up bar but who the heck is strong enough to do those things. I can't even do a chin up or pick my body weight will enough control to benefit from such an exercise. I would be doing a wasted movement in my opinion.

And for anyone who's leary of jumping right to the ball, even WalMart sells the capsule ball that gives you more stability then a regular exercise ball since you only deal with rolling in one plane- not every which way. I've recomended it to a couple friends and to my mom. My Mom, she's in her 70's, had always been too scared to try my exercise ball, which I can understand, but she can even use the capsule ball. She also stole my stability disk that you put in your chair- I think I got to use it one whole day before I let her try it and I'm pretty sure I need to get another one for me
