I'm not MrsJim, but I wouldn't mind putting my 2 cents in here

It's my personal opinon that body typing diets are hooey. I don't understand why some people try to make weight loss so darned complicated (I guess they sell more books that way). Every successful weight loss plan comes down to the same thing - calorie reduction and calorie expenditure. Now if anyone posts behind me and says this diet worked for them, let me say this: You WILL lose weight if you try one of these diets, simply because it's a diet. You eat less. There's nothing scientific about it. This particular diet book contains a questionnaire that supposedly determines your body type, pituitary type, thyroid type, adrenal type, or gonadal type, and then assigns a diet to go with it. I'd be willing to bet my chihuahua that every diet in the book works with every body type in the book to accomplish weight loss.
In the end, the diet that works best for you is the one you like, because that's the one you'll stick to. If the menus in this diet include foods you enjoy, and it fits into your lifestyle, then you'll probably do well on it. Some people do feel better if they follow low carb, some feel better if they follow low fat, others feel better if they just count calories. You need to experiment to find what works for you, and if you find it in a questionnaire, I think it will just be coincidence.
If you do decide to buy the book, check amazon, they have used paperbacks going for a penny
I know I'm cynical

However, I did a little checking before writing this post, and I can't find any sources that back up this theory, other than from authors with books to sell.
