Default Body Flex

Hello Lisa

Thanks for the post. I was wondering how long I should wait before considering going on to the Advanced system. Did a month give you enough time to prepare? Also, maybe you might know the answer to my quest... in Greer's little pamphlet she said week #2 start once in the morning and once before dinner. Does she mean just like 10 mins of breathing, or the full 20 mins of 10 mins breath, 10 mins resistance because as it stands right now, I am not sure what I'm to do in the evening and weekend workouts are damned near impossible because well, it's the weekend and I have a ton of errands and things to catch up on. I'm delighted to hear that it is working so well for you. I get to take my measurements later today as it's now been a full week that I've been able to do it (last time when I neared the end of my first week I got sick and was knocked down and out for a week and GOD I missed working out lol). Anyway... if you know of anything, any info would be helpful. Take care and be well Denise

Hi, Denise ~ In week 3, I started doing the tape once in the morning and once before dinner. I did the whole routine. I'll be honest, I've slacked up until this week but have gone back to once a day -- morning. The advanced tape is harder -- it makes me a little lightheaded -- but I guess it is something to get used too. I would suggest really getting used to the 20 minute tape before going to advanced. Good luck.

Default Body Flex

Hiya Lisa..

Thanks for the info I know I'm no where near ready for the advanced. This is only my second week of doing this and I got the whole lightheaded thing going on but so far I am really liking this. I made a mistake when I did my first measurements and didn't measure all the areas she wanted, but upon recalculation I lost a total of 14 inches. Granted I can't pinpoint actual change because that is spread all around but still, I'm pleased. I bike three days a week too and just in general am enjoying getting healthier. I think I will give it a month or two before considering the advanced portion. I do know I have to be more regimented about eating habits... I learned over the weekend I eat when I'm alone out of boredom... such divine moments we learn things about ourselves LOL. Anyway, thanks and be well Denise

well, thanks to this thread, I went and bought the Body Flex tapes. I found them on Ebay for $7.50 so they are on their way. I will let you all know how they work.

Default Body Flex

Hiya Valley...

Glad to hear you are gonna give em a try. They *DO* work if you are able to consistently keep at them. The first week I lost 14 inches total from the target areas. Unfortunately, mid-week in to my second week, I got sick and haven't had much desire to do any of my usual workouts this week and now at this coming weekend I am heading out of town on vacation so when I come back on the 20th I plan on getting back on the horse and hoping I catch no more colds. Good luck and lemme know how you do!

Denise

i just saw those FTC charges when i went online to try to find out something about body flex -- can anyone describe it well? is is anything like the oujai breathing you do in yoga? i'm such a cheapskate. also are people losing 14 inches at a heavier weight to start with? i am a size 10 (up from my usual size 8) after gaining 12 lbs in 3 months. would getting a grip on my eating do the trick?

Default Body Flex

Hey lovelies... It has been awhile since I had a chance to post with anything, between moving, dog/house sitting, being sick, and all that happy *insert expletive here* I have been *SO* bad with not working out and watching what I eat *hangs head* I just started up my Body Flex again and will hopefully be able to adhere to it better now that I am settled in again.

To answer your question about all the inches lost, I do believe it makes a difference for someone who is a lot bigger than someone who is a size 10. Not that it wouldn't work for someone that is a size 10, it will just be a bit slower. I myself am a big girl so my results happened a lot quicker as far as total inches go. It *does* work but you *have* to keep at it. Her claim of not having to worry about what you eat is a bit off, because as anyone will say, in order to lose weight you *MUST* watch your calories and exercise, but that is just common sense.

Anyway, I am glad to be back and hope that you all have wonderful success, but more importantly, just enjoy life, you only get one chance depending on your faith, so why risk it?

Talking Body Flex

I tried it, bought the book and video. I ended up giving it to a co-worker. The breathing if done wrong can make you very dizzy. Plus my daughter watched me doing the breathing exercises and she couldn't stop laughing, which in turn caused me to laugh. It really is a ridiculous routine, but breathing is very important...PAAAAAAAAA(that is the sound you make as you exhale). lol

I will admit the very first time I ever saw anything that Greer Childers did I about laughed my butt off at it (Lord wouldn't that be a great exercise option to have lol) but I have to give credit where it's due, it does work once you settle down and don't laugh at some of the positions or faces you have to make. Personally if it works to the success I'm hoping, then I'm all for it regardless of how silly I look in the process. I agree about the dizzy factor, a few times already I've felt lightheaded but the recovery time was rather quick. Take care

I bid on the Oxycise tapes on Ebay and actually won a bid! We have never won a bid before. So I should have the set in about a week. I also have the highest bid on a second set, but there is still almost 2 days left on it. I bid on 2 sets because I could never be the highest bidder on the other sets! I guess if I win the second item, I can find someone who wants it. This system seems easy enough, so I will soon find out. I would love to have a FLAT belly once again. Congrats to those who have found something that works for them!

Thumbs down Flat Belly

To get a flat belly takes sit ups, which I hate doing. Breathing exercise in the body flex will not give you a six pak....The women in these tapes works out and has had surgery, cause just breathing will not make you thin....think about it....lol Have a great day.
