Default Zija XM Does It Work?

My mom is the kind of woman who searches for pills and shakes for weight loss, regardless of how much it is or how jacked up it may be. She recently received a large package of Zija XM from my neighbor, who swears up and down it works and blah blah blah..

I am usually skeptical of these things, but after taking it for a few days, it seems to be okay. It keeps me from being hungry without getting jittery. Actually, it keeps me from wanting to eat, which is a big deal since I'm a serious muncher. However, because of that, I really need to remember to eat.

My question is, have any of you heard of Zija or had any success with it? I do think that it could help me on my journey but am unsure of the side effects and long term effects.

So the most concerning aspect is that it says it contains a form of ephedra, which has been banned in the US.

Apparently the primary ingredient is a nutrient rich plant. I looked into the NIH databases on it and apparently the toxicity level of the plant is fairly high although the plant is said to not have any effect on weight.

I'm guessing there is also some fiber added in as well to help give you the feeling of fullness.
