Actually it isn't a laser at all as someone mentioned...BUT I can tell you what IT IS..

..it you dissect the no-no it is actually just a wire. Yup, a plain old wire. The wire gets hot and burns the hair.

It really irritates me that the commercials make it sound like laser or make it sound permanent...shouldn't there be some sort of advertizing regulation against that?

Anyway, I am still really curious to try it. My mom used to run a candle along her arms to singe the hair off (seriously!) to me the no no is basically the same method but safer than the candle thanks to the casing LOL.

I've tried the No!No!. It's essentially just burning the hair. I haven't noticed much of a reduction and so I went back to epilating (electric epilator).

Now I'm doing electrolysis and though it hurts, I'm getting great results (laser didn't work for me). It's super important to find a good electrologist though. The one I have is amazing even though she's a far drive. The one that's closer to me isn't even doing it right. The electrologist needs to insert the needle thing into the hair follicle and electrocute (I don't think that the appropriate word but can't think of it) the hair follicle and be able to just pull the hair out with the tweezers. The hair shouldn't be plucked out. If the hair doesn't come out easily, there wasn't enough electrocuting strength. Unfortunately a lot of electrologist will pluck the hair and so the client doesn't see any results.

I tried the no-no. It was difficult to use correctly, even on my legs, it did NOT get all the hair in 1 pass (or 6), and the smell of burnt hair lingered for hours. I sent it back and went back to my electric epilator.

I am considering a tria, but it's quite expensive, and the business end is so small, it looks like treating a leg would take hours. Still on the fence about it.
