Costco doesn't carry it anymore. I think when they had that really good deal the end of last year, it was to clear out their inventory.

you can buy the Bodybugg with a 6 month subscription but the cost is a little higher, and I don't think any vendors besides 24hour fitness and apex fitness sell it anymore. If you type in bodybugg on amazon, it takes you to a GWF!

another alternative is a Fitbit. It doesn't measure the exact same things as a BB/GWF, but I think it gives useful info. It's $99 and there is no monthly subscription.

I now use Lose It, an application on my iTouch that helps me track my calories and workouts and that has been very helpful and free.
Sorry you didn't have a good experience. Is there any chance that the unit you got didn't work right and could be exchanged for a new one?

ah, ok.

I bought a used BB. It came with the wrist watch thing, the wireless downloading tool thing, the BB, and 2 months' left on the subscription.

I have since purchased a full year and will be paid through Feb., 2011.

Hopefully, I'll be at (or at least very near) goal at that point and can decide whether I think the GWF is something I want to keep using a tool for maintenance. I already plan to keep journalling my calories forever so tracking the calorie burn doesn't seem like much of a stretch from there.
