  • i am new here, and just came across this, but i must agree with suzanne a few weeks ago i used a colon cleanse pill for a week and i am sorry to say that i lost complete control over my bowels! lesson learned!
  • Re: Colon Cleanse
The best thing is to follow the natural remedies that makes you to feel comfort from the colon problems.
  • Everyone's talking strictly about colon cleanse, but has anyone ever tried something called "Whole Body Cleanse"? My GF & her parents have taken it before, & said that it really works. The only thing in it is fiber pills, all natural laxatives, & milk thistle. It's supposed to clean your colon & liver. Her mom found it in the organic section of Fred Meyer's, so I assume it can't be all that bad.. Any info on this?
  • Commercial cleanses are just ways to separate you from your money.

The body does not need to be "cleansed". All you need to do is eat healthy food and drink lots of water and it naturally cleanses itself.

    .
  • I agree with Photo Chick.
  • Re: Colon Cleanse
Drinking lots of water, taking liquids regularly and high fiber food will definitely solves the colon problems.
  • What is this, Colon Week on 3FC? I feel like we have had more colon discussions and cleansing discussions this week then in the last five months I've been coming on here combined. You people are awfully concerned about your, um, well, that end of you this Holiday Season.

Don't waste your money on "cleansing" and "detoxing" products. YOU are a product of millions of years of evolution...your colon is a precision instrument designed extremely well for its given purpose...same goes for your kidneys, your liver or whatever other body part/organ/system some scam artist on TV, the Internet or Reader's Digest wants to sell you a "fix" for this week. Just eat healthy whole foods, drink your water, eat your fiber and almost magically the amazing machine that is your body will keep itself nice and tidy.

Heh. Maybe next year we can have Colon Week hosted by Mike Rowe.

    .
  • Uh huh...I read your post in the Unusually Sexiest Man Alive thread, Photochick...you just like thinking about Mike Rowe. You can't fool me.
  • Re: Colon Cleanse
No need to spend money, if you have patience to follow some easy and natural methods like drinking lots of water, taking apple juice regularly , exercise and maintaining a good fiber diet. These can help you to clean the colon without any side effects.
  • I've got a cheap one that works for me---CABBAGE.

I had cole slaw twice in one day last week and it certainly cleaned me out--TMI, I know!!
  • Hee hee! I love cabbage soup. Not because of any cabbage soup diet or any particular diet type thing, I just love cabbage. I have it probably 2x a week for lunch because it's so easy to make and so yummy. And yeah, it'll def help with the cleaning out thing.

  • Seems to me that if our colons were filling up with toxic waste and debris eventually we would all explode! Probably sooner than later.

I get the feeling that a lot of this stuff probably does nothing more than irritate the cr@p out of your digestive system and give you the back door trots.

You're better of with a good balanced diet and lots of water.
  • Ugh... stopped the cleanse... now i'm bound up!!!!!
  • Oh dear, please see your doctor. Those products can really mess your system up!
