Anne...Happy Canada Day!

Ally..Lock up your kitchen!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Mima and Joanne and Toots if you are there:)

I spent 6 hours Thursday cleaning the garage and it is not done yet! Dh ususally does it, but he does not take everything out and scrub it like I do! Lost another pound..that would be 46 Anne! Think I sweated that one off..it was hot in the garage:eek:

When I'm working hard I don't stop to eat..I don't even think about food..that is the key don't think about it! When I work and don't get enought to eat I get very weak..You would think I learn something from that!

Candicej 06-30-2001 06:31 AM

Meme..how do you do color and size at the same time?????????? I figured it out!

Mima 06-30-2001 07:08 AM

Home again!!!

I got to sleep in my own bed last night and eat my own food today!!!!I'm home til Sun. and then it's back to work.8 weeks a year is enough for a retired person. My rib thing is really acting up!I listened to a book on tape driving home and it made the time fly by.Anne-you give us so much info-I also like to tell people what works for me and I feel bad that some fibro people do nothing to help themselves. I know one that I think is addicted to the pain med. and just sleeps and someone else who won't try different meds and just suffers.Everything in moderation I guess. Now I'm going to that website!!Good day everyone!!Mima

Mima - that rib thing is called something spelled Chondroitis, or some such name. I guess it is a common fibro thing. I had this last year. At first I thought it was indigestion because it hurt from my ribcage to my shoulder and felt like a gas build-up. Next I went to the Dr., because all the ENO, Pepto-bismo or anything I took wasn't helping. He sent me for an x-ray, thinking a rib was out of place, because when he put pressure on the area around the rib cage from back to front, it really hurt, and he thought it might be inflamed. The x-ray was clear but it still hurt to take a deep breath. He told me to buy a rib-band and I did. It really helped, and then all of a sudden it went away. Aren't we lucky to have this crazy condition.

You are right. Lots of people just keep their heads in the ground like an Ostrich and won't look for anything to help them. Others, like me, are just crazy and will try almost anything to get rid of the pain. That is why I am so happy, because this treatment seems to be working for me - SO FAR.

I found that article interesting and just wanted to pass it on as info. I by no means, think everyone should do this. Each to their own, but I feel I should let you know. Who knows!

Candice - I think you are your own worst enemy. 46 pounds - that is so great. If I lost 46 pounds I would be unhealthy. I don't have that many to lose - about 25-30 would be just fine for me, but I can't seem to get with the program.

Well ladies, hi to all, and have a wonderful weekend.

I am off to the mountains this morning.

Hello

Hello Everyone- Well here I am on Sat. Morning and all I have done is the dishes washed and the bed made. It is just the beginning. I need a day to just sit on the beach. One thing for sure no matter how busy I am I don't forget to eat. I wish that was my problem.
Happy Canuk- Hope you had a good time in the mountains. I never see anything like that. Florida is real flat.
Candicej- I can relate to the cleaning. It is never finished!!. There is always something that has to be done.
Hope everyone has a safe and happy weekend... Joanne:wave:

Good morning

Yikes-I did not gain last week -might have evn lost a tad.I was really good yesterday and I walked and swam Had a WW frozen thing for dinner and I noticed it had 830 mg 0f sodium.Yikes again. I will try another brand.I tried the tennis ball under the trigger points last night. Ouch! But I think it helped a bit . It's supposed to take the toxins out. I found out what I had in the ribs myself and I told the doctor. Only mine never goes away. I'll have to get a rib band. Oh yeah-the tennis balls are like acupressure. You can put 2 in a sock and put them down your back-you lean up against something. Like the floor-which is down-or lie on the couch which is softer. I don't know if I explained this very well. Well-Gonna get ready for church soon. I'll check Tues. night for posts. See ya!!!!!!Mima

Good Morning

Hello Everybody- Mima Where did you find out about the tennis balls(therepy)?? I have severe arthritis and it sounds interesting.
Salt,That's the trouble with most of these fast meals. But since the dr. told me to cut salt ,I have found that hardly anything in the stores are without salt. Now what is a person supposed to do?Go back to the days of cooking everything from scratch? Not hardly!! I am one of those people that likes to cook dinner in 20-30 min. or less unless it is special. :D . I think there is more things to do than waste my time at the stove. But on the other hand I love food, that's why I have a weight problem.
Everybody have a great 4th...Joanne:wave:

Hi Guys.....read your posts really quick as it is still hot, hot hot but thunderstorms coming and relief is on the way.
Does anyone else get migraines in the heat? Yesterday I couldn;t even cheat as I felt so lousy and nauseous. Also achy. With the weather changing, I feel so much better today.
But...yesterday I was just so DOWN about being fat. Today with the exact same clothes on, I feel 20 lbs less and I don;t feel so fat and nasty. Isn't it amazing the difference one day can make???
Love that poem Meme.

Candicej 07-02-2001 04:12 AM

I will always have Fat Days...

Don't we all!

Ally..was the heat making you feel sick..it does that to me! This cooler weather is so nice, I had to wear sweats and a jacket to walk. My tummy is my problem area and I will never lose it, I'm getting thin everywhere else but I know I am healthier eating this way. I started out only wanting to lose 25 and it felt so good I just kept going. I just hope it stays off..but then there are those dumb meds again. I'm supposed to try nerurontin, I have had it for awhile but just have not tired it..so many side effects to all this stuff.

Anne..so gald you are getting some relief and are willing to try anything,I heard that lots of sex would cure your Fibro!:dizzy: Well we all know Meme will never be cured!

Joanne..I love to cook but it hurts my body to spend alot of time in the kitchen cutting up a bunch of stuff. I love trying new recipes and remeber we are what we eat! I love the WW dinners but try to limit them to when I have over worked and need something real quick cause I'm about to pass out!

Mima...I like the tennis ball thing..my massage therapist told me about that and you can use golf balls on your feet. Pressing the trigger points helps in the long run but hurts like ..well it hurts, you know the feeling!

Meme..come out and play!

Hi Toots!

Hello

Hello Everybody-- What a day-- In in the 90's here. I walked my usual 3.5 miles and ate too much.
Candicej You are so right. That is one of the reasons I am getting back into WW this Thrusday. I need to get this back into control. I found the WW meals have a lot of salt. I am trying to watch it but it is in everything on the gro. shelves these days.
Ally- The heat and humidity down here can make anyone have a headache. I should be used to it. Been here all my life. The humidity makes you swell up. That is one thing that makes us feel so lousy.
You guys have a safe -fun 4th. :) Bye for now...Joanne:wave:
