Good day to all of you.
Jenilala - (hope I spelled your name right) Welcome to our little group. You are so young to be afflicted with RA, however, I guess age has nothing to do with it. I am 59, mother of 2, grandmother of 2. I have had major back problems since I was 29, culminating in surgery at 37. From there, I developed OA in the lower back, and hip and then my friend Fibromyalgia came to play with OA. So, since these two are always with me, I have had to accept them
Almost bosom buddies.
Chris - I guess you are getting ready to get everybody back to school and get yourself ready for school as well. I wish you the best of luck and hope that you have an easy semester. It must be hard to do that with little ones, but if it is something you really want, you will succeed.
Joanne - Sorry you are hurting. I know how much you like to walk. I hope that it will pass soon.
Angel - My goodness, what a time you people have had. I sure hope things swing in another direction for you. As for the weight gain, please don't feel bad. It happens. Depression and inactivity from pain, and food are sometimes so very lethal to us all. We live in countries where food is bountiful and we are thankful, but sometimes I think we have waaaaaay to many choices. It makes life interesting, for sure. I am going to post a little thing I came across this morning. Hope it will make you feel better.
Sometimes we wonder,
"What did I do to deserve this",
or "Why did God have to do this to me."
Here is a wonderful explanation!
A daughter is telling her Mother
how everything is going wrong...
she's failing algebra,
her boyfriend broke up with her
and her best friend is moving away.
Meanwhile, her Mother is baking a cake
and asks her daughter if she would like a snack,
and the daughter says,
"Absolutely Mom, I love your cake."
"Here, have some cooking oil," her Mother offers.
"Yuck" says her daughter.
"How about a couple raw eggs?"
"Gross, Mom!"
"Would you like some flour then?
Or maybe baking soda?"
"Mom, those are all yucky!"
To which the mother replies:
"Yes, all those things seem bad all by themselves.
But when they are put together in the right way,
they make a wonderfully delicious cake!
God works the same way.
Many times we wonder why He would let us
go through such bad and difficult times.
But God knows that when He puts these things
all in His order,
they always work for good!
We just have to trust Him and, eventually,
they will all make something wonderful!
God is crazy about you.
He sends you flowers every spring
and a sunrise every morning.
Whenever you want to talk, He'll listen.
He can live anywhere in the universe,
and He chose your heart.
If you like this, send this on to
the people you really care about. I did.
I hope your day is a "piece of cake!"
Life may not be the party we hoped for,
but while we are here we might as well dance!
We are having to move next week - thank goodness it is just across the hall, but still a huge job. They are selling this condo we are in now. We don't want to buy anything right now, as prices are just way too high, and one of these days, they will fall again, and THEN we will buy ourselves another condo. I have been having such bouts of fatigue that I really feel incapacitated by it. I don't have the energy to type even. I do read and I do think of all of you everyday. I need energy from somewhere for the next week. I have a little more today, so maybe ......... I think it is from a combination of FM and the heart meds that I take for Atrial Fibrillation.
I hope you all have a good day.
