Had my treatment yesterday, so kind of "out of it"...but, wanted to say hello. Maybe I'll make sense & remember I did this tomorrow.

Dr. said MRI showed no RA of the spine. (thank God!) He said I had a LOT of OA & bone spurs & some bulging...but nothing was pressing into the spinal cord. Most of the damage that is causing the pain is where I have my "hardware" from the prior surgery. If they did surgery again, it would fuse the spine & I would be immobile. So....surgery really can't help. I just have to cope the best I can.

They hadn't received any information on the blood tests for Lupus, Fibromyalgia, etc., from the other Dr. Was going to call & request it. After I got home, the other clinic called me with the results. They said I was "borderline" for everything they tested for! That they would fax it on to my Rheumy & for me to be sure to follow up with him. I have no idea what this means. It doesn't sound good...I used to be borderline diabetic & it was no fun. I'm hoping to find out more. Has anyone heard of this before? I'd like to find a website that would give me some info. I thought you either had these autoimmune diseases, or you didn't. DH was really sweet (as always ) & brought supper home...then took care of himself this morning for work. It's very stormy here...hope it doesn't get bad while I'm alone...I'd sure like to go back to bed & sleep.

Gotta go...need to rest awhile.

Charlotte-I'm not sure what the borderline diagnosis means. Maybe you're bloodwork is in a low range where it's testing positive but within a normal level or something. Do know you know what I mean? I think I may just be confusing myself. Here's an example of what I'm talking about. When I got tested for RA, my doctor said my test was positive but my inflammation level was alot lower than it normally was for someone with arthritis. No worries now...it's full-blown RA and I can't change it. At least I'm keeping my inflammation in check and my bloodwork keeps coming back normal.

My grandmother had lupus though. I can't really tell you much about it. I never knew what it was like for her. I can remember going to the hospital to see her and spending Christmas Eve in her bedroom because she was too sick but other than that, I had no idea she was even sick. Kind of like RA...looks normal but feel awful some days. I know she had it for years though.

My husband is having a hard time again with his hypothyroidism. He got his bloodwork back the other day too. His TSH level is through the roof again. They upped his dosage again. Plus his trigyceride level is through the roof too...AGAIN! He was 1386 in the beginning before treatment. He got it down in the 800s with a diet change and then they put him on cholesterol drugs to get it down farther. It went down to 365 but now its almost 1700....YIKES! Normal is supposed to be below 150. They doubled his dosage of the cholesterol meds...Now he's going to be flushing and red, I guess.

Well I hope you feel better after a bit. I'm praying for you and THANK GOD that its not RA in your spine. That was good news to hear.

Hey remember Me? I't all Anne's fault that I haven't been around much. She introducded me to all these neat Paint Shop Pro sites, and I quickly became addicted. When I feel bad, and am really tired, it much eaiser to just look at pretty pictures than to have to type and think of things to say.

I've been feeling pretty good, except for the fatique and working much too hard. Our business is still not doing well, and we are all trying to do two or three jobs at once, since we let half our employee's go. I get home so tired that I just set in my chair and ....well just sit in my chair and do much of nothing.

I did finally have my first appointment with my new PCP and like you Charlotte, she had done lots of tests, including a songram of my stomach and and MRI of my chest. I go back Thrusday to find out the final results. She also discovered that my blood pressure was too high, so I've been monitoring it for 3 weeks and we'll see what she does about that too.

Other that that, nothing much has been going on, I'll try to get back more often. Have a great day!

Barb - I will take the blame It is very addictive. Glad you have been feeling good. Sounds like your Dr. is looking after you just fine.

I hope everybody is doing well. I have come into some ENERGY at long last, so have been spring cleaning my house. It is a slow go, as I can only do so much at one time, but I have learned my limits. Today, though, Arthritis and Fibro - the pain pals - paid a visit. The weather is snowy and blowy and humidity is involved, so I am hurting everywhere.

Well, hope you all have a good day.

Hello everyone...hope all are feeling well.

Happy Canuk....glad to hear you have some energy, but don't overdo. I'm sorry about the pain. I suppose soon I'll find out if I have the Fibromyalgia to go alone with my RA & OA! I'm going through a lot of tests right now. Something is going on different with me, I know that. I feel as if I have the flu almost all the time. I ache in my bones & I just get sharp pains in different places I don't normally hurt....& badly fatigued. RA does a lot of this, I know, but seems I'm different, somehow, than I was.

ageoldie...take care of yourself. I'm glad the business is doing better, but you don't need to make your condition worse. Maybe you can hire some of the employees back soon, to take some of the load off?? Hope you get good news on your tests Thursday, let us know. I'm on Spironolactone for my blood pressure...it has a diuretec in it for the RA. Pain will make your blood pressure go up...& pushing yourself (as you're doing!)

chrily...I'm so sorry your DH is having such a hard time with his health. That doesn't sound good at all. Prayers go out to him.
Yes, I was very relieved about the RA not being in my spine. I don't know what to think about the lab work. My GP did call & give me a follow up appt. for April 12th. Don't know what to think of that, either. Just have to wait & see.

Hello Joanne & grannyc!
Everyone have a pain free day..........
