Fibromyalgia~~~#125

Hello....time for a new thread!

Candicej 08-18-2004 03:18 AM

Happy......I'm obsessed about everything not just my eating! I thought Meme lost weight due to her new medicine and no appetite? Sharon Stone is on meds for her stroke that keep her slim she told Oprah.

Meme, hope your spider bite gets better, I have had my toes bitten in the yard but not my hands. I now wear socks!!!!!!!!!!! I hate creepy crawly things!

Joanne..hope your sis gets better and they can help her. I can hear the worry in your post.

Mima...wow that gal sure can't eat very much, glad your condo sold and not to the man!

Hi anna and ally

You all keeping up with the olympics? The mens relay in swimming was awsome!

I'm trying to eat well for a few days so no cookies! ;) I do have a new WW cookie recipe for 1 pt to try.............It's a no bake PB and choc one.

Mima 08-18-2004 05:50 AM

Good morning!! Finally got some things done. I have a huge list since I was away. Meeting at church for the Fair. I think I will go over there this morning. Brad's uncle died yesterday morning. I don't know what the arrangements are yet. Probably Friday. I wanted to watch the gymnastics last night but they came on too late. We watched a movie-Anger Management. Funny but a little gross. And then the Red Sox game. I still woke up at 5. Alison doesn't have school yet. Mike found out his insurance wasn't in effect-their fault because I know he took care of it, he faxed it from here. They are still going to cover though, as far as I know. It's getting muggy again here. Bye for now Mima

Mima 08-18-2004 05:53 AM

Joanne, I didn't see your post. Pacemakers work good=look at what Cheney has to do and he's running again. She will feel better than she has. Our prayers are with you. Mima

Joanne D 08-18-2004 07:25 PM

Hey There

Hello Everybody...Yes I am really worried about my sister . She now has clots in her heart and will be on blood thinners for 3-4 weeks till that is cleared up. Then they will be able to install the pace maker and defibrillator. She will not be able to do anything more than her personal care not even is she allowed to cook a meal until that time. She must just stay alive. Grim as that sounds that is it..After that she may be able to have something of a normal life..
I pray for her care and welfare daily...
In the meantime ,I am still trying to watch my weight. The urge to snack is always with me...Joanne

Mima 08-19-2004 05:50 AM

I can see why you are worried, Joanne. Prayers are with you both. Went o the church and started working on my dusty crafts stuff-so much yard sale stuff to be organized. I got a lot done but I won't be there today because we found out at 5:30 last night that Brad's uncle's funeral is today. Glad my SIL called because we don't get the local newspaper. Anyhow, I have to bake this morning before we go. He is going to be buried in his Moxie tshirt-he was a character. My mind is racing with all I have to do. I am also going to make a simple quilt for the raffle. Believe me, it's simple. Bye for now Mima

Happy Canuk 08-19-2004 07:07 PM

Good afternoon or evening, depending on where you are :)

Candice - Hope you are feeling ok. I have been watching some parts of the Olympics. Canada is doing awful, but I sure enjoy watching everybody. It is amazing some of things they can do. I loved the sychronized diving and the gymnastics. Great stuff. Have you made your new recipe yet? I have been trying to wean myself off all sugar, including cookies. It is really hard, especially when the darn fatigue strikes. I think I have that one figured out now as well. It is caused from the medication I take for Atrial Firbrillation. Did some reading and it is one of the side effects. It makes sense, since it slows the heart beat.

Joanne - as I said, we are all here for you. I do hope your sister will be just fine. She may have a different life, but that isn't always bad. She is the same age as I am. Just hold our hands and know that we are thinking of both of you.

Mima - The church garage sale sounds like a big project and making a quilt even bigger!! Mygoodness, you are one ambitious lady. Hope the funeral was not too stressful for you. Glad the deal with your condo is concluded. That must be nice for you.

Hi Meme and Anagram - hope you both are out having fun!

Well, ladies take care, I am off to make some supper. It looks like it is going to rain big time here, very soon. It was a beautiful day, but for the next week, it is going to be downright cold - one of the days is only going to 10C - only 52F. So look out, because it will come here first. It felt like Fall out there around noon. You know, those nice mellow days! Ah, well, not much one can do about the darn weather. It is what it is. Take care.

Happy Canuk 08-20-2004 12:46 AM

Here's one to start your morning off, RIGHT!!!! It is so cute. Turn up your speakers http://www.spiritisup.com/cuppy.html

Mima 08-20-2004 06:09 AM

Good morning. The funeral was nice-they played a beautiful song at the end-My Old Man sung by Phil Coulter. It reminded Brad and his sister of their own father. Brad's uncle was loved by a lot of people so there were a lot of people there. We went to his cousin's afterwards . They built a log cabin-it was beautiful. And I ate cookies-my own that I broughtOatmeal with chocolate chip-didn't help my allergies. Brda's son was there and his relationship with his girlfriend is over-found that out from Brad's ex-wife and here husband who were sitting in back of us. I had never met her and Brad forgot to introduce me. DUH!! He said that was the first time they ever had a decent conversation, She is bi-polar . Anyhow, life is interesting, Joanne, I hope things improve with your sister. Soon!!!!Sounds like she has to take a 180 degree turn. Look at how Anagram deals with her own health and her husband's. I guess it's one day at a time. I guess you realize how vulnerable we all are. Still praying!!!Be good everyone. Mima

Candicej 08-20-2004 08:16 AM

Yes HAPPY I made the new cookie one and it is not sweet at all and not really like a cookie but a healthy snack...has oats, coco, PB, splenda, and oil in it and it's a no-bake. They are tiny things and not really worth a whole pt!

I have been doing 2 miles on my treadmill even though my hips are screaming..I have been laying on the tennis balls!!!!!!! Eating at 18pts for a week too! Fatigue will hit I
m sure.

Happy...what are they doing about your hip?

Joanne..thinking of you and your sis...Hugs!

Mima...you are one busy lady!

I just love watcing the olympics..US is doing great I think! Paul Hamm and Carry Paterson should be a couple! (the Olympic all around Gymnastics winners of the gold medal)..both so cute!

Mima 08-21-2004 08:31 AM

Candice-18 points is too low to lose weight-your body will go into deprivation mode!!!!!!What a thunderstorm we had last night. The dog was trying to get in bed with us. Now it's just raining. Can't believe I am going top be 66=that's why I stay so busy-can't think about it!!!!Did some work at the church but now I need help because I also need to work at home making things-going to make 2 simple quilts. I mean simple-found some quilt pieces already made-just have to sew rhem together and back it. Hope you are ok Joanne-I know how hard it is going to the hospital all the time-it takes over your life. Anne, that cat pic is adorable. Speaking of adorable, I am sending meme my latest pic of Evan to please post. I took out my baby pictures today and I know where Evan gets his pumpkin head. And eyes and mouth. Mike had the same but now he looks just like his father. Funny. Not important either. Going to sew today. I bought a sewing basket to organize my things and it had bird poop on it-it was sitting way up high in Walmart and clerk said they had birds that fly in. I sanitized it!!!!!Bye for now Mima

Candicej 08-21-2004 09:04 AM

Mima.....I ate at 23 last night and am at 20 today. I need to eat at 18 some of the time...does WW frown on that now that they say to eat at 20? i'm still on the old program.................123 not flex pts.

Can't wait to see Evan!

Poop on store stuff, yuck......did you get a discount?

MemeToo 08-21-2004 01:56 PM

Well... wait no more ... here's the little cutie-pie!

http://www.design-max.net/images/evan.jpg

You guys have been really busy this week. Took me forever to catch up! Hope your sister will be ok Joanne. Mima ... busy as ever. I've been a couch potato this week. Haven't been feeling too good. Candice ... while your downfall has been cookies, mine seems to be brownies. I've been eating them by the pans full. (well... I've been MAKING them ... I've had a LOT of help when it comes to the eating part!) ;) Last week, baby Jenna helped me eat two pans and this week Garrett and Kaylyn helped me ... 'course hubby's been right there over the pan, too! (Ross prefers cookies!) :p My son even came in last night and had the last one and a glass of milk. Guess I'll have to make more! :o

Joanne D 08-21-2004 06:49 PM

Hey There

I am doing great- My sister is just hanging out taking her meds and waiting till she gets rid of this blood clot and can get the pacemaker in..
What a cute baby!! Mima, the lucky G/ma! I have to say I am jealous. Candice I could only wish to stay at 18-20 points. Lately it has been a trial. Meme, I don't dare make brownies. I love them and I would eat the most.Happy Thanks for your thoughts.
Thanks for your prayers everybody.. Have a good weekend.....Joanne

Candicej 08-22-2004 03:23 AM

Cutie Pie Mima, yes I can see you in him!

Meme, Betty Crocker ahs a 2pt brownie mix, but maybe you like to make them form scratch? I love brownies too and with icing!

Joanne...I think with my added exercise right now I need to increase pts, I am feeling kinda weak and hungry.............

I did a tad bit of work outside and then walked the TM but could only do about 45 min and my hip started bothering me. I stretched it out and then got an old walk areobics tape out and did it another 30 minutes, hip still hurting......standing in place walking seems to bother it so I tried to just keep moving about the living room and finished the tape. (suppose to be 2 miles but my pedometer said only 1), anyway I'm at 17,000 steps and that is good!

anagram 08-22-2004 06:29 AM

What a charming little fellow! Joanne, I'm praying too for your sister. Modern medicine can do so much and I'm hoping they can give her a good quality of life for many more years. Mima, glad the condo is sold and you can look forward to your new place in FL. So terrible about the area's damage and glad your son is safe.

Meme, hope you've been able to get some rest. Happy, loved the kitty looking throught the blinds.

It's a year yesterday since my mother died and i have been having a difficult week. Even having the granddaughters here yesterday didn't seem to have quite it's usual magical effect - or only while they were actually here - it didn't carry over. Have been pigging out = no other word for it.

Weather's supposed to be nice today (it's a wonder we're not floating with all the rain lately) and I think dh and I are going to drive to a small and old fashioned amusement park a couple of hours away. Not that we'll ride rides or anything. Just as sort of a mini outing. I've gotten very "disinterested" in riding in a car a lot so do have some reluctance about that part. But I think we both need to get a little further away than we've been this year since we got back from Florida.

Mima 08-22-2004 07:53 AM

Good morning-I am 1 year older today but really only 1 day older. Going out for breakfast and dinner with the kids. Yes Joanne, we are praying. There's a lot of hope in today's medicine. ps-I waited 14 years for my second grandchild-hey thanks Meme-you even got the red eye out. We have had some bad thunderstorms but today is beautiful!!!!!Alison finally goes back to school tomorrow. I have been making things on the sewing machine but it broke right in the middle of it~~~~nice guy said to bring it to his house today and he would fix it pronto!!!!Bye for now Mima

Joanne D 08-22-2004 09:47 AM

Hey There

undefinedundefinedHAPPY BIRTHDAY.........MIMA

Joanne D 08-22-2004 09:53 AM

Hey There

I NEED SOME LESSONS IN DOING THIS STUFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyway Mima you know what I tried. It was supposed to be large red letters!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now I will get to something sane.
Angiegram ..That is what the Dr. told her.. She just has to get to that point..
I need to watch my points a little better. I was 1/2 pound under goal and that is to close for comfort.
Hello everybody....Joanne

Mima 08-23-2004 05:46 AM

Thanks Joanne. I had a great birthday-we went to a restaurant where Brad and I went for our first date and then we went there for our first date when we got back together-food is awesome there-our 3 kids who live here-beautiful Vera Bradley bag from daughter-the wallet and dinner from hubby-gift certificarte from son. Then a cake that daughter had brought=it was so nice-course the men yakked abot men stuff so Suzanne and I had to talk together about real stuff. I need to get back on my points-I don't dare get on the scale-I will walk today because it will be cooler. Hope Eleni heals fast to get that test. What an ordeal!!!!!Talked to son and family-they have been cutting trees for 3 days. Their pool is green. Monday is catch up for me. Mima

MemeToo 08-23-2004 01:06 PM

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MIMA! Yes, it wasn't hard to get the red out of his eyes ... he looked 'scary' with red eyes! ;) Next time, if you'll hold your shutter button just 'part of the way down' for just a split second before you push it ALL THE WAY down the people in your pictures won't have red eyes! Least ... that's the way MOST digital camara's are set up. They have a 'split second' focus on them. Try it next time.

I got my blood test results back today ... 31 and 10 ... guess that's why I'm so tired ... no surprise.

I'm like anagram ... need a vacation! But I don't know where to go!!! :(

Had a few too many sweets over the weekend. Went to friends for a cookout yesterday and had choc. cake and then had strawberry pie last night. Feel the sugar today. Plus it's rainy. Not a good combination! Oh, well, you only live once, I guess! It'll wear off. That's the price I pay for having a life. Kind of like my allergies. I take Allegra ... I've tried EVERYTHING out there (just about). Allegra seems to help more than most ... but still doesn't completely do the job. Everytime I go out, my eye starts running, then my nose will start and sometimes (depends on where I am) I'll start sneezing. My mom used to stay indoors (or wear a mask!) she killed me. She didn't even have an allergy. Most of hers was put on if you know what I mean. My left eye will start running and run all the way down my cheek before I can catch it. I'd start mopping up my face and she'd grab a kneenex and say, "me too" when there wasn't anything wrong with her! She'd even wear a MASK to the mail box ... it was hilarious to watch her. And I've watched her sit in church and hold a kleenex over her nose and 'pretend' she was sniffing ... I could tell she was putting on ... I lived with her too long! I know people who really have allergies, though, who let them take over their lives. They just stay indoors. (And some people have SEVERE allergies who HAVE to ... I'm not talking about them!) I take my Allegra and just go on out with my kneenex and runny nose and sneeze my way through life!

Mima 08-24-2004 05:36 AM

I take Allegra too but when it's sinus, it doesn't help. I didn't take that picture-my DIL e-mailed it to me. One time I took a bunch of pics and didn't get the focus button down first and they were terrible. Getting a massage today an going to the mall to use my gift card from my sons and also buy gifts for the triplets and for my cousin's grandson whose bd we are going to Sunday. A couple from Brad's church also invited us to dinner Sat night so it will be a busy weekend. That's when my allergies act up because I eat things I'm allergic too. Brad and I finished off the birthday cake last night-lemon mousse-deliscious!!!!Got a call that my sewing machine can't be fixed by the person we brought it to-might get a small new one. I only need to sew a straight line and zigzag-I pd 1500 $ for that machine 21 years ago-it's all computerized, can monogram etc. But I only do quilts etc now. I am making some thimgs for the fair-gotta slow down because I am starting to hurt. Take care everyone. Mima

Candicej 08-25-2004 01:43 AM

Happy Belated Birthday Mima!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Had my yearly mammo yesterday and ran some errands...got home at 3AM and unloaded the car and did 2 loads of laundry and put a meal in the crockpot...didn't get much sleep so hope today.............

We still have our skunk living here........he is digging up our yard looking for insects!

Mima 08-25-2004 05:11 AM

Thanks Candice!!!!I have to be at the car place at 8 am this morning-getting it thoroughly cleaned with a gift certificate my son gave me 3 years ago. Then to my girlfriend's house-walking distance -for a visit and a lunch at a tearoom for my bd-she also has a pool=wicked sinus today-that's what happens when I eat wheat and milk. Gotta be good. Bought a sewing machine at Target-nothing like my Elna but it works -I'll get used to it. It's very simple. I also had fun buying outfits for the triplets and also a birthday present for Jon Peter who will be one. He;s my other cousin's grandson. Yikes!!!!!!!So many babies. Can't wait to see mine again. 3 more months-that;s all. Joanne, how are you doing.? Everyone seems to be very busy-not a bad thing. We have a lot of free miles with Amtrak so we are planning a trip towards the rest-possibly when we are in Fl. Bye for now Mima

MemeToo 08-25-2004 12:42 PM

MAN ... THERE JUST AIN'T NO WAY!

The eating when you're hungry and stopping when you're satisfied - I 100% agree with but the rest of that junk is for the birds! I have to eat what I want and pretty much what everyone else is eating if I'm at a 'sit down' meal. I'm not going to 'cut out' any certain foods unless they are actually causing me PAIN ... like Mima was talking about her sinuses and stuff. Now, I know too many sweets will cause me to hurt more so I try to limit my sweets somewhat but I'm not even going to cut those completely out because I'll start to feel deprived and I'll pig out eventually. When you start eliminating any one food group from your diet you begin to feel deprived and you WILL eventually go off that diet and all will be lost. I still maintain that eating a BALANCED diet and I hesitate to even call it a DIET but staying on a blanced meal plan where you are eating NORMALLY 'for you', and normally doesn't always mean the same thing for every person, is the best thing for weight loss and weight maintance. You will lose more weight if you just eat when you're hungry and stop when you're full and only eat what you REALLY want and DON'T eat what you really don't care about! You don't even have to exercise to lose weight that way! It just comes off!!!

My daughter has been going to Weight Watchers for about 4 months now and she lost 12 pounds at the beginning but the last 6 weeks she hasn't lost any. As a matter of fact, I think she gained a couple of pounds back when she went on vacation. It's just too hard to stick on a 'diet' when you're out there trying to HAVE FUN! But if you're only thinking, AM I HUNGRY ... if that's all you have to concern yourself with ... and - what is it I REALLY want to eat? Then, HAVE THAT ... and ONLY that! I know, you're thinking, I'd only eat chocolate, but that wouldn't last for very long, trust me! :p

Mima 08-26-2004 06:42 AM

Hey Candice-thanks-my girlfriend and I were interested in what the core plan was. I was on the birthday plan-we went to a tearoom and I had melon soup-yum!!-and a small seafood melt with cheese-yum-and we split a chocolate trifle 3 ways. Yum-yum. Betty gave me the book Purpose Driven life and then remembered I was the one to recommend it but I said I would pass it on. And Sandy gave me the makeup bag to go with my new Vera Bradley pocketbook. And Brad had given me the wallet. And I had my car cleaned while we were out-it looks awesome. So I had a good day. Pray for Brad's cousin's daughter-she's 15 and ran away. They know where she is but she is mixed up with some bad kids. Going to catch up here today and rest but I slept later because I didn't have a nap!!!!!!Bye for now Mima

MemeToo 08-26-2004 12:37 PM

SOUNDS LIKE MIMA'S EATING WHAT SHE REALLY WANTS!

Candicej 08-27-2004 04:28 AM

Meme..I thought the plan soudned restrictive too, I'm sticking with what I have been doing.....my hunger thermostat does not work any more so I can't go by that or I would either be over eating or under eating so I need to just journal and count pts which is fine with me. I eat anything too, just need to be more active..had a bad day yesterday, so much pain and laid on heat the whole time..............no workout for me when I'm like that.

Made a wonderful roasted tomato and eggplant pasta.....yum! 4pts

Mima 08-27-2004 06:34 AM

My girlfriend didn't like the plan either. They came and stripped the roof last night and I was getting an anxiety attack because a couple of guys were standing around watching and drinking beer-then they are going to drive away-not the roofers-I went out there a couple of times and tried to say something-too many bad memeories of living with drinking-Brad doesn't drink. Brad thought we should have a cookout tonight after they are done and I said no way-I'm not going through that-I don't have to watch it. Anyhow-they don't drink while they are roofing. Glad that's the last project. Going over to the church this am to work on the fair. I made 2 doll quilts-and I am making too big ones. Machine-easy. Bye for now Mima

Happy Canuk 08-27-2004 04:59 PM

Mima - first off, I want to wish you a belated happy birthday. Secondly, that is a beautiful little baby. You are keeping yourself busy and that is good.

Meme - I hope you are feeling better now. Allergies are not fun, that is for sure. I don't take anything, usually. However, my eyes and nose run and I am forever reaching for Kleenex. I have been putting Cortisone drops in my eyes the past few days.

Candice - Gosh, that new ww diet looks kind of brutal. I thought you were keeping pretty active with moving between 5000-10000 steps a day. That is a LOT of movement. Didn't you say one day, you were up to 17000? I hope you are feeling better today as well.

Anagram - I hope you are feeling less "down" this week. It is hard to remember our Moms at times, but it is necessary to healing. I know you hold good thoughts of your Mom. Hope you and hubby are out and about, doing what you enjoy.

Joanne - where are you? Congrats on your son getting married. My son is getting married on 16 October, so we will have a wedding to go to. His, Jackie, is a nice girl, and she comes with a 5 yr. old son, named James. He is a high spirited child to say the least, but sweet. He and Ashley are 6 months apart.

Not much new to report at this end. Still fighting the battle of the bulge, only doing it Meme's way. It is just plain easier. Hope everybody is having a good day.

Candicej 08-28-2004 02:01 AM

I'm trying Happy but I had a few bad days where I didn't go above 5000. Gets discourageing on the exercise front!...Mowed today....................got a new cookie recipe to try too!

Mima 08-28-2004 08:00 AM

I am making cookies for the bd party tomorrow and lemon squares for the dinner tonight that we are invited too. That drinking guy didn't show up again and the roofers were having a beer or 2 after so I said anymore than 2 I would take their keys away and they left,It seemeds like it was a good way to tell them. They are great workers!!!I took Jeff's daughter over to church with me to help mark items for the fair. The day before she was caught after she ran away with this real bum who is now in jail. Her grandparents go to my church, Someone asked her to sign up to help and she did. Kids!!!!!!Maybe some redirection. Anyhow, I don't see her all the time but it was good. Bye for now Mima-hope things are ok Joanne.

Joanne D 08-28-2004 10:37 AM

Hey There

Hello Everybody...Everything is in a holding pattern here. Eleni is staying home taking care of herself. We all check in with her most every day. She probably wishes we would bug off. I will probably get the new DIL in April. That will be a busy month..We seem to have another storm coming our way.. I hope this one will turn off and go back to sea. There are many homes across Fl. in need of help.We do need rain in my yard. The rain just goes around me.. I couldn't make any sence out of that new WW eating plan. I am supposed to be a lifetime member. I got a letter telling me that I could go to the meetings for ONLY 8.50 a week. What happened to the free for lifetime members??? I will stick to TOPS. It is 5.oo a month and 20.00 a year...I like the members there better too. The seem to really want to support you..
Have a Great Weekend...Joanne

Candicej 08-29-2004 05:56 AM

Joanne..I never knew how the lifetime membership worked since I didn't go to any meetings. Tops sounds like a good deal!

Well I mowed yesterday and now my pelvci pain is back with low back pain, can't hardley sit, feels like I have been hit with a basball bat in my privates! Ouch!!!!!!!!!!! did walk on the tedmill today so I am at 13000 steps.

Mima 08-29-2004 07:35 AM

Candice-get your hubby to mow!!!!!!!!!My legs are hurting because I was helping pick up the trash from the roof. Joanne, we are still praying-one day at a time. I think WW means 8.50 if you are over goal. It should be free if you are within 2 lbs of goal. We went to dinner last night at a couple from Brad's church's house-couldn't figure out how to say that-she is such a great cook-how can I reciprocate-they may drive my car down and back. That would be fun to socialize with them. Hope that hurricane doesn't hit-Mike has been spending every day cutting down his 20 trees but that's nothing compared to other people. Going to a birthday today. 80 people invited. Mima

Happy Canuk 08-30-2004 12:25 PM

Candice, mowing the grass is hard work. Do it when you feel well, but otherwise, let hubby do it. If that happened to me, my hubby would never let me do it!!! Hope you are feeling better today.

Mima - So your getting a new roof. Well, that will be nice. It sounds like you have just about renovated the whole house. It is hard to live with that, but nice in the end.

Meme - Hope you are doing better.

Joanne - Glad your sister is home. Hope she is feeling better. I know you are worried about her. Keep your spirits up.

Anagram - hope you are doing ok, and are out and about.

Ally - Hi, if you check in. Hope your life is going well.

Not much new here. Hope you all have a great day.

Joanne D 08-30-2004 07:06 PM

Hey There

I went to the Dr. today. My col. and trig. are too high. I have been taking red yeast rice for 8 months and it has not done a thing!!I haven't been faithful to my exercise and I don't think the SBD has helped. Too much meat.etc.. So I will try something else..Back to the points more faithfully and my walking...He didn't suggest medication and I didn't ask. I don't want to take it anyhow.. My hubby is having a fit.My sugar was high and I don't understand that as I have been watching the carbs.. ?????? and few answers.
I will be worried about my sister until she gets the pacer etc. She has her good days, I am sure. as well as the bad...
I am below goal most days. I will stick with Tops as I really feel comfortable there. The group supports everyone together. It makes me feel that they really care.
Hello Everybody...Joanne

Mima 08-31-2004 07:06 AM

Hi all!!When my triglycerides were high , I cut out sugar for 3 weeks and they went back to normal so I can't understand why yours were high. I think a balanced diet is the answer. ps-I don't dare get on the scale-I have not been walking. Sda news-they are taking the triplets to a foster home and someone in their family stepped fourth to take them-Amy thinks they will split them up. I got to hold them on Sunday and feed them. They are adorable-Amy is so upset-they were supposed to be pre=approved for adopttion. That's the second time she has gotten disappointed. The small lower roof isn't done yet but that is only over the porch. Now we won't have to worry about ice in the living room. We had to replace 4 windows in the condo after the home inspection but so what. We are getting a good chunk of money. We had to pay off a loan that Brad co-signed for. His old girlfriend's son-that was a hard pill to swallow. Never again-if you cosign, be prepared to pay it if you have to. I guess people are concerned about Frances now-we will see where she goes. Bye for now Mima

Cosigning is always a worry ... we cosigned a note for the church and property ... over $200,000 worth. I'll be glad when that is paid off. Of course, when it is we'll begin building our main building so it will mean another loan. It's always something, I guess.

I think my ankle is finally beginning to show a tiny bit of progress. At least it isn't getting worse. I measured it a few weeks ago and it is the tiniest bit smaller so I'm encouraged. Just have to continue to pray and stay off my feet. I'm being a couch potato. Catching up on my reading. I read the best book I've ever read (except for Gone With The Wind of course.) All of you that read fiction and especially those of you who enjoy reading Christian fiction and stretching the imaginings of your mind MUST read this book ... BLINK by Ted Dekker. You won't be sorry you invested the time and money in it. It will certainly make you think (and blink.) ;) I couldn't put it down. I read it in 2 days (or I should say 3 nights.) I started it Fri. night and finished it Sun. night and I was gone all day Saturday and most of the day Sunday. That's the 3rd book of Ted Dekker's I've read in 2 weeks and I've just started another.

Hope you are all feeling better ... maybe you should just do like me ... get a few books, make yourself a nice cup of tea, pile up your pillows and go to bed and wait for summer to be over! :p

Hey There

Meme- How I wish sometimes I could just go to bed and let time pass on by. Today has been really busy.. I helped put some trash on the road for pick up. Walked 45 min on t/m , went to vote , and did all the regular things we do in a day.. I always look forward to when supper is over and I get a shower. We may watch some of the convention tonight. My hubby wants to hear what Arnold has to say...Me I will be in my book as usual. I am not much of a TV watcher. I glance up at it now and then..
