I've gone back on Atkins pretty much full force, which is the only way it works for me.
Anyone else on Atkins, and do you notice it helps your RA symptoms?
I always feel better when I cut out the white stuff.

Hi, this is just a quickie. I went to see my Rheumy today thank goodness as I was feeling dreadful. He gave me a steroid jab in my butt that I had once before and its like a miracle drug. Takes about 3 days to kick in then you feel great for about 6 weeks. He said I could only have it cos I was going to the wedding and it would help get me through it. He wants me back on methotrexate...ug!! I was on it for three and a half years and for the last nine months it nearly killed me with gastric probs. Anyway the hospital clinic has just started to use the injections like some of you have and apparently they are much better gastric wise. I said doing them myself was a definate NO NO.....Sooooo I want to know the answer to a couple of questions from you who take it before i decide whether to agree to that or something else. My other option is Leflunomide....never heard of it.Have any of you? The questions on methotrexate injections are 1..Are there any gastric side effects..2....does the jab hurt, like some injections kill and some you just put up with.3.....have you had any other side effects that I should know about. grrrr. Had a nice long post and then it went to cyber heaven!!!!

I am like the rest of you and am tired today. Had a busy week. Monday, went to a funeral 2 hours away, and then home again. Tuesday, got groceries and had company come for dinner. Wednesday, a girlfriend came to visit and she left yesterday afternoon, so today is a "me" day, because I don't have the ambition to do anything

Also, on Sunday, my computer crashed. I took it in Monday morning, picked it up Monday night, and found out the same problem was there. So back it went on Tuesday. They went through it with a fine tooth comb, and found that the Processor chip (CPU) was burned. That probably happened when the power supply in the computer blew up a couple of weeks ago. Anyway, got it back last night, but everything was gone, so it is like starting over Spent the morning loading programs etc. Think it is almost back to normal, but I did lose a lot of my e-mail addresses.

Laura - glad you made it back. Hope you had a great time.

Noodles - sounds like you drove a long while, but like Pam says, nothing like your own bed!! Hope you feel better.

Khewes - thank you for sharing the picture of your lovely daughter. You have every right to be proud. She sure is a pretty girl.

Angel - Gosh, what a mess. Hope you now have the plywood in place and the shingles on. That will sure help matters.

Pam - Hope the shot you got is helping. I am with you about needles. Don't know if I could do that or not. Hope I never have to find out.

Hi I am on the atkins diet, mostly. I almost count all the carbs, and sometimes the net carbs. This way I am still losing weight likr 3 or 4 lbs a week. I haven't see you here for a while. Nice to have you back.

How are you? Good I hope. When is your sons wedding day? I know you told me,but my mind doesn't always work the way is should. My daughter Jenny has 3 months to go. They are getting everything together, and are sending out the invites in july so there is plenty of time for people to rsvp. She made herself the prettiest money card box. She decorated it with silver wrapping paper with a little wedding dress and a little tux on the front of it. On the lid there are 4 lavender flowers with leaves at each corner. its really pretty.

My neck some days feels better other days not so good.. Today was a better day. I was able to walk my 3 miles on the treadmill. Tomorrow I am going out in the boat with my son and his girl friend.She is a new one and I think he has hit the jackpot this time. Only time will tell. I thought not but they said they wanted me to go. Maybe they want to drown me. I think my daughter and her hubby will come in tonight so they will go too. My hubby won't go so he will have to mind the T.V. Later we will all go out to eat.

Joanne.... ....Three miles on a treadmill, Wow! thats very good! I wish I was up for that. How often do you do that. My daughter has been doing an hour a night training for her challenge, which is today. Anne.... Glad to see you too. You sound as if you deserve to put your feet up a bit this weekend. So go for it! Computers can be a pain in the butt sometimes. I keep saying I am going to reformat this one but I also keep putting it off. Its pretty easy but very time comsuming. Its been playing me up alot lately but its my fault as I have so much rubbish on it and half of which I have stopped using so should take off. Thanks for asking about my miracle jab. Yes I feel loads better than I was. I know its short term so I must make the best of it while I can. Still deciding on the mtx injections.
