Hi Ladies,

Jennifa, things have really turned around for you, it's about time. I am so glad to hear you are doing much better. Isn't it great when they finally get the meds right? What type of yoga class do you take? I have heard there are different kinds, I would like to find a class to help relax and calm my thoughts. I am still going to curves 3 times a week and I walk a couple of miles each day with a neighbor. It is easier for me to fit exercise into my life because I don't have the burden of going around a job. My dogs are almost all "fixed" now and I have to say I am glad about that.

MyGirl, the refinance is done and I am happy to say thank God! I can't believe all the little problems that come up. It is great getting away from the everyday routines, you just don't feel the same pressures as when you have yourself on a must do list, if you know what I mean. If you can feel good while away from it all, it just means you are getting closer to your anxiety free lifestyle. As far as I'm concerned any amount of time without the dreaded anxiety is wonderful. I have to believe it is possible to actually be anxiety free once again.

Well, it is time for my walk and I am looking forward to doing it in daylight. The days are getting longer and that means warm weather isn't far off.

Think spring! I feel like a tv commercial LOL.

hi girls,
I have been out of action for a few days...but I'm back and ready to take on the world....well maybe just my household chores to begin with

My new philosphy is if we belive we CAN achieve!
Yes we can live anxiety-free. I have vowed to surround myself only with people I love and who are positive. I have been very good this year and have followed my heart and done what I want to do...that is I have stopped this "people pleasing" mentality that I have had for so long.

From now on it's me and dh. I've started by doing small things like making sure we take a nap together on the weekends AND I take the phone off the hook...dah dah dah daaaaaahhhh!!
It actually works, no interruptions. At first I did feel guilty about having more ME time but my friends and family just had to learn that my needs came first and then if I had time I would gladly help them out, visit etc.

I also have my machine screen all incoming calls and only answer those that are important.

I'm glad all the refinacing went well...isn't it GREAT to be in routine? I love hassle-free ordinary days that don't demand anything from me but just doing the usual stuff and getting thru my day is a real pleasure. Keep up the walking - it's coming up to a great time of the year....ahh spring with all it's prettiness and promise!

Hi girls,

Mygirl, I'm glad you are getting more "me" time, I was raised to believe you have to put everyone elses needs ahead of your own or you were a "bad person". I am sure that thinking has a lot to do with my anxiety problem. Seems I do fine as long as I stay with the routine and don't try too many new situations, but I don't do well under pressure. I am to worried about not pleasing people, I am a diehard people pleaser so I know exactly how you feel. A good example of this is last week the mgr at Curves asked me if I would like to work there a few hours a week, it would entail showing members the equipment and signing them up, getting their wts and measurements. At first it sounded like the perfect thing, then I got caught up in the "what if's" and totally stressed out, to the point where I had an anxiety attack. I did not take the job, but I know I would of been good at it. It is those types of situations when I feel under pressure that I still have problems. I just been telling myself I will get over that to, just a matter of time. It is so hard to stay positive when you feel so bad. Your idea of staying around positive people always helps.
I love the answering machine idea, the telemarketers are enough to drive me crazy and they always call at just the wrong time. I to have some friends that suck the life blood out of me and I just don't need that negative influence. We are all doing better than when we first started with our problems, and we have learned so much about ourselves, things are bound to keep improving.

Have a calm and relaxing weekend.
