Default Fibromyalgia #83

I'm trying to remember what everyone said...in a fog today. I slept until nearly 12!!!

Anagram, you need to rest! That's what happens to us all when we get in a situation like that...a crisis! We keep on going until things are better then we collapse. It's time for you to collapse!

Joanne...hope you don't have a really bad cold! Soup and rest...sounds like you have it under control!

As for me, I'm sore from my fall at McDonald's and trying to stay off my ankle as much as possible. I still need to take down all my inside decorations. Hubby got rid of the lights outside this morning. The Dr. said I needed to keep off it until Friday so I guess the tree and stuff can wait until the weekend. It is raining here today and supposed to turn colder and snow...I'm achy!

For 2003 I just plan to take one day at a time and do the best I can! Everytime I make a bunch of resolutions, I'm disappointed with myself so I'm not going to set myself up for that this year!

HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL

Happy New Year All!!!!!
I was asleep by 11pm. Hope I didn't miss anything exciting.
Meme.....Did you contact the managment of McDonald's after you fell? They should be paying for any medical bills you have.
Hope everyone is having a nice day and I bet the next time I check in, everyone will be starting a new diet.
I completely rid the house of all chocolate and sugar by eating it myself.
So no more Chocolate til Valentine's Day half price sales!!

Ok. Now we have two #83 threads goings. This should be interesting.

Ally - that is my trick. Eat everything and get it out of the house. Then no excuses. I think I ate more sugar today than I have in over 2 months. Oh well, just starting over - AGAIN!!!

I don't no if Cipro and Celebrex helps with sugar cravings or not = I sure have had them lately. I am thinking it is from this meds.

Meme - hope you feel better. I will also wait until the weekend to get the tree down. I need some help with it, and hubby seems to have developed a bad cold. He sure isn't feeling well, so I will let it be - for now.

Meme-you must be in a fog-I had already started an 83 but we'll use yours. Brad has a terrible cold too-I guess when I didn't feel well it was from a virus but I'm better now. He brought up a beautiful exercycle from the garage so it's sitting in the living room. I love it but I ahve to be careful not to overdo it. We're having another storm so I had to change my plans so I will try to get everything done so I can go out tomorrow before the next storm, We are leaving Sunday morning. Gled to hear from you Anagram-life is sure difficult for you right now. Went to see motherinlaw yesterday-she's still week and suppossed to go home sometime-feel bad that we will be gone-hope nothing happens while we are gone. But she has 2 other children who take good care of her. And someone is coming to stay in the house. Ally-good job on the chocolate-I know that mood-I am going to have to go to WW meetings when I get back-not doing well on my own even though I'm good. Yesterday I was real good. Enough rambling-Joanne, Meme, Anne-please recover quickly. Mima

Mima...sorry about the mix up in threads. I don't ever go look at the forum entry. We had gone to page 4 and I thought it was time. A lot of us don't go to the forum entry so next time you post a new thread, be sure to make the last post on the old thread say there is a new one or we'll never find it!

It is supposed to snow here tonight so I'm hurting really bad. I have Ross again today. He is so hooked on his new Play Station 2 that he got for Christmas, I can't get him away from it long enough to eat!

I have a 12 Self-Improvement Program online if any of you care to read it:
http://www.design-max.net/12weekhome.html
I followed it as I wrote it the last 12 weeks in 1999 and it really helped me get (and stay) on track. I got more organizing done that 12 weeks than I have my whole married life! Plus, I lost 15 pounds and felt better. That's why I've "resurrected" it now. I plan on doing it the first 12 weeks this year. If you decide to do it, let me know.

Hope everyone is feeling better. Anagram's hubby, Anne's foot (and hubby's cold) , Joanne's virus amd Mima's cold...my aren't we a sick bunch? Hey, Candice...what's amatter wid you? Bound to be something!!! Hi to everybody else and hope your new year has started well!

Ally...now that's a good way to rid the house of junk...just eat it all!!!

Default Hey There

I hope whoever sends the emails to us doesn't get confused. We will have to be careful till we get to 84
The cold was bad enough now I have a flareup in my foot and can hardly walk. What a lousy begining of the new year!!At least I can just sit as much as I want with a good excuse.
Glad to hear from you Anagram.
Ally- That is the best way I know to get rid of the candy. I didn't buy candy this year. I made up for it in pies!!O well they are gone now.
Mima- the weather should be good when you get to Fl.
Bye..Joanne

Hi guys-Meme, that program sounds real good. I guess I could do week one easily-I put a lot of carbs into my mouth and I spend too much time p[laying solitaire on the computer. It's already starting to snow and we are suppossed to get a foot-spoiled my walking plans with my aunt and I needed to go to the credit union for the loan for the truck-Yesterday, it took 45 minutes to unfreeze my car from the ice-I'M READY FOR FLORIDA!!!!I can't remember when we have had so much snow so fast but than I went to FL in Jan. I keep pushing for more time next year-as it is, we are going twice. Ate some stuff last night-the scale hasn't moved and I'm discouraged and I get the hungry horrors in the pm. Gotta call the credit union-bye for now. Mima

Freddie...I hope you benefit from the program! I know I have, and hope to again this year. I did it in 1999 and then again the first part of 2001. It is good to do anytime of year or even all year long!!!

Mima...I can relate about eating in the PM...that's my biggest problem, too. That and carbs! But I'm slowly getting back on track. I gained a few pounds over the holidays but I can take them back off in a couple of weeks if I'm careful.

The gist of the plan is to just take small steps and not bite of more than you can chew (not a good simile...huh!) It took small steps to get to where we are today and the only way we will reach our goals is to take small steps to where we WANT TO BE tomorrow! That's another problem I have...I want the weight to drop off in a couple of weeks...I don't want to go slow!!! But I actually do better if I just making a few changes each week.

We didn't get much snow here, just enough to make it yucky outside! I'm hurting really bad...I have Ross and I have an appointment at 2 PM. I promised him I'd take him to Burger King first for lunch...I'll have to really be careful what I eat there! (STAYING OUT OF McDONALD'S!!!) I told hubby last night that we were going to have to stop eating out so much. I can't lose weight when we eat out so much, plus it costs a fortune! I could almost take what we spend eating out and make a car payment!!! So...that is one of my resolutions this year...eat at home more! (NOT EAT MORE AT HOME!!!) Besides losing weight and slowing down a little I'm pretty much going to do the 12 week program and take it one day at a time...then I'll see where I'm at the first of April...I may need to change some goals or something by then.

I DREAD TODAY...DON'T WANT TO GO OUT IN THIS MESS!!! WISH I COULD JUST GO BACK TO BED!

Angry Hello all

Where the heck is Candice. Did she stop eating all together now?

Meme - Dieting is hard when you eat out a lot - unless you do like the kid from Subway He has also made a lot of money out of that one.

That program sounds good. Might give it a try as well.

Mima - I think my winter moved south It is over 40F here today, and the snow is melting - what little we have of it. The problem is, that here in Canada, we are really prepared for cold weather and bad weather. We have all the snow removal equipment just waiting to jump into action. They have not had to clear the streets once this winter - that in itself is amazing. They have had to sand and salt the roads a couple of times, however. We will all forget how to drive in the winter if this continues.

I am busy today, taking down Christmas. Now for the real work, of cleaning - again. I just came back from the Mall, as I wanted to pick up some Christmas cards and stuff for next year. Good deals out there right now. It's funny how all the Christmas stuff looks so nice a fresh in the fall when they put it out, and a few months later, it looked tired.

Joanne, Ally, Anagram, Marlene and other readers - have a good day.

Hi-Thanks Anne-there is a foot of snow on my car etc. I had to thaw out my trunk yesterday so we could put stuff in it. Used the hair dryer and 2 pots of hot water but it is probably stuck again . Hubby is going out to snowblow right now. What a winter-worst I can remember. I gave up counting pts. I'll be good while I'm gone and then go to WW or something. CARBS!My downfall. Eating out is bad-I had a tuna sandwich out and it was 11 pts and at home it would be 5. At least the grilled chicken would have been 9.That's what is bad about traveling but I did pack some stuff. We are leaving early tomorrow and I'm doing the first hour cuz it's near. Then we'll see, WE HAVE NO DEADLINES! Bye for now-packing the computer later. Mima

I FINALLY RENTED THE TRAILER!!! THANK GOODNESS!!! At least now I won't have 2 electric and gas bills! We are still going to pay the water but that's included in the rent. I rented it to 2 girls who are going to TN Tech. They are moving out on their own...first time away from Mom and Dad for both. They said this was the cleanest and safest place they had looked at. They liked the idea that hubby's bedroom window is only about 100 feet from one end of the mobile home...he can be there (shotgun in hand) in about 2 minutes if they have a prowler. I think they are a little afraid...being on their own!!!

Boy is it ever cold here today! No snow, though. We had a light dusting yesterday morning and then a little more last night but it's all gone now. Hubby and son is outside 'shooting'! They are target practicing...skeet. #1 son is going on a hunting trip in a couple of weeks.

I'm trying to get my decorations put away and some housework done. It never ends!

Hope you have a good trip down, Mima...be careful driving in all that snow...and hope the weather is good for you while you are there. Wish we were all going with you!!! Wouldn't that be a hoot! ('Course...you hubby might not like that!)

Anne...I don't think I could eat subways every day!

I just love that Jared from the subway commercials. Bet he will never have to work again.
Meme...what happened to the guy you had renting?
Candice....Thanks for the links. I heard so many people talking about that Oprah show. I heard her recently talking about not eating white food.....sugar, bread, potatoes, pasta. I try for that too. Good thing I got rid of all that white sugar.
Happy...how is your foot?
Anagram, Mima, Joanne, Freddie and whoever else I am forgetting.....hope all is going well. I will check in after I check in with Oprah and get rejuvenated.
