I met a woman about a week ago at the local fibro support group who was telling me that she found Savella almost a "miracle cure," and is now virtually symptom-free (she is working full-time).

I've gotten my symptoms under decent control (good 2/3 of the year, and fair during winter months), so I'm hesitant to try anything new - especially at "new drug" prices. I am keeping my ears open about the drug, because it's awfully tempting to hold out hope for a miracle cure, or even a treatment that would just let me get back to work, at least part time (I'm currently on disability for the fibro, osteo and possibly rheumatoid arthritis and a mystery autoimmune disease - Also, I know the Savella would only help the fibro, so there's always still going to be the rest, and I'm not sure how medication changes would affect my other symptoms).

I'm anxious to hear others' experience with the drug.

Thanks for the heads up Kap! I'm going to see if insurance will cover it. With my fibro I'm ok for a short time then I get hit with a flare sometimes not bad sometimes horrible But I'm ready to not be on a roller coaster with this!

It's funny, because that's the reason I'm hesitant to try anything new. I'm still on a roller coaster, but it's a kiddy-ride compared to the crazy "mega roller coaster of death," that I was on.

I've been anxious though to hear people's experiences. I've asked my doctor, but he hasn't had any experience with it yet.
