I'm almost 40 and have been on b.c. for many years of my life. For the past several, I've been on Ortho Tri Cyclen.

I used to blame the b.c. for weight gain - for not allowing me to lose. But since October 2007 I've been able to lose weight steadily - and I can't say the pill is a problem anymore. I think there were other issues at work (I know there were).

So yes, do talk to your doctor. Maybe something else is going on. Maybe adjustments of meds are necessary. Maybe he should check your thyroid for mis-function. Talk to the doc and explain everything - and keep going back until you solve it. That - AND - read everything you can get your hands on about safe and sane weight loss.
