Hi Everyone and Good Morning

It was a beautiful day yesterday but today is very cloudy and windy though as yet no rain.

Not been able to go on my normal walks at the minute as DH is poorly. I am afraid I am not safe enough to be left to go very far on my own. I would never thought I would say this but I miss my walk and can't wait till he is back to full strength. Unfortunately I feel a bit achy this morning and have a bit of the sniffles. I hope it does not go any further than that but will have to wait and see.

Well I have had a huge pause in the middle of writing this but plan A for lunch went to plan B. I though I had some ingredient in the cupboard to make sweet and sour and I did not. So fortunately I had a whole chicken in the fridge so went on to cook that. I prepared cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower and swede (I think it is known as the rutabaga else where similar to a turnip but bigger) Plus a small portion of boiled potatoes.

ROSEBUD :~ My thoughts are with you regarding your uncle lets hope it turns out positively.

We don't have anything so exotic as moose and caribou. The most weird and wonderful I suppose is goat which I can get on the market.

Sound like lots of colds etc are going around. Has you know DH has one and we have just had a phone call from friends saying they are both poorly with a cold.

MO :~ Sorry to hear of your accident but I am so pleased that your OK now and slowly on the mend. I can understand how frightening it must have been and will take time physically and mentally to recover. Take things slowly and gradually until your up to full steam

Wow your so close to your goal it is within your reach. I am so proud of you and an inspiration to me that even with our hurdles that life throws at us we can still achieve. Keep up the good work and you will be at your target weight within no time.

Right must get along things to do, I have more than normal with DH cos he got the man flu and we all know that is much worse than what ladies get. But joking aside he is very under the weather and he is so rarely poorly. So today I am head cook, bottle washer and nurse. bye bye

Hi everyone and good morning

Well just a quick pit stop, well any excuse to keep me away from my dread ironing But it is also a chance to stop by and finish my morning cuppa.

DH feels a bit better this morning so maybe he is on the mend. Fingers cross I still feel OK. Think maybe the aching was due to the long journey we entailed on Monday. Not so sure what the sniffles were from though but glad they are not here at the minute.

According to the weathermen and women we are suppose have rain today but I won't hold my breath they said we were to have rain yesterday and we did not get a drop

Just finish reading 3 books in a trilogy about a family. Unfortunately I started to read book 2 for many pages before I figured there must have been another book. So did a bit a research and found out that there were 3 in the series. So I read 2, 3 and then 1 so a bit out of order. But never the less enjoyed reading them. Just commence reading about a book set in the 2nd world war based at a airbase in the teleprinter centre and an ammunition factory. Two girls work at each place and they get to meet by chance at the local dance hall. It is panning out quite good so far.

My sisters eldest daughter who is 14 has been experiencing some bullying by 3 girls. It came to a head this week and all the children were confronted about their behaviour towards my niece. Lets hope this nips this in the bud. It was getting to the stage where my niece did not want to go to school and normally she likes to go. She goes to a school which is academic based and you have to pass a test to go there. At the end they take about 10 or 12 exams in different subjects and normally they get extremely good marks. My mum went to the same school but I just failed to pass the exams but not to surprised really as English wise I am good but mathematics it is a mystery to me

Well enough of my putting off my ironing I must get off my chair and PC and on to the job in hand ironing.

bye bye and take care ladies xxx

HELLO LADIES ~ Have been busy the last couple of days; got in to read late last night, but waited to post today. We went into town today to do our shopping as the day started out with lovely sunshine and the wind was down. We had a good trip and got everything we planned this time.

I finally found a harness and matching leash for my little sweetie, so that she's not attached by the collar (neck area) anymore; my stepmother suggested this, since she's cockapoo and has a delicate neck. The terrier is bigger so we'll get her a bigger one next time we go in, as that store only had one set in stock today.

We had quite a snow/wind storm yesterday and parts of two sides of our small shed got blown off; so DH picked up some nails to repair it; he was happy to get it all done this afternoon. He also got some more pipe for his woodstove, as the last storm brought that crashing down as well; boy, did we get that ladder at the right time or what ~ LOL?

PURPLE ~ glad to hear that you and Dh are on the mend; there are days when I can't get out too, esp if I am not feeling well; sometimes I just do things indoors instead, like dance and upperbody aerobics. I'm glad that your family was able to help your niece from that bullying situation at her school; sometimes, just bringing it out in the open, is enuff to put a stop to it ...

My uncle and aunt went to the city for one test today and are on their way to see a specialist; they managed to get an appt for Monday, which is quite fast for here really (definitely prayers have been answered there). My uncle is only 60 y/o this year, and has already survived thru two different kinds of cancer in the last decade; but we are still hoping for the best ...

Yesterday, I did my walking in spurts; first, I went out for 30 minutes and then for 25 minutes in the evening when it was calmer; today, I'm sure that I did at least 60+ minutes, because I did a lot of walking around in three large stores.

I bought a bunch of fruit today ~ bananas, pears, Honeycrisp apples, and some frozen raspberries (which are supposed to be high in fiber as are the pears). I also picked up some mixed grain WW bread; two slices for only 110 calories (our regular bread was that for one slice).

I just finished answering a bunch of emails too, so now I can go and take it easy for the rest of the evening; and get these poor, tired feet up. Hope everyone else is feeling well today as well; take good care, your friend ROSEBUD
