Heather-
I understand your joint problems and trying to exericise! I have been there. I was diagnosed with severe osteoarthritis in my left hip at the age of 23. Within 2 years it had progressed so much I had to have a total hip replacement. They found out during surgery that it wasnt arthritis, but a very rare degenerative joint disease called pigminted villonodular synovitis. But anyway...moral of the story, for a few years I was on lots of meds, could not exercise, and right before the surgery could barely walk. I gained A LOT of weight.
Now, 2 years after my hip replacement my doctor is strongly suggesting I lose weight in order to make my replacement last longer. He said below 200 would suffice...but I am shooting for a lower target. If I am doing this I might as well do it right!
I joined LA Weight Loss and have been fairly pleased. In three months I have lost almost 30 lbs.
