Carol Sue Sorry you are having problems getting on here. Have you tried getting a new password or will that not work?

I am amazed at how my woe is working. DN, her husband and Dad came over yesterday and brought pizza. I ate 1 small piece from each one. Two were thin crust but had veggies on it and even the thick crust had veggies which I think balanced things out. I was amazed that my weight was 167.6 down from the 168.2 the day before. The wonderful surprise was that my FBG was 98 and ketones 0.6. BP was even lower but can't remember what it was. I think it is the fact that I'm combining woe with IF.

Meal plan today is tilapia with salad and veggies. I think added veggies back into my woe and not adding fat is also key for me.

Hope everybody has a good day.

Weight 166.8 lbs. Other numbers are very good. Baby sister called and wants us to come over for 4th of July dinner so not sure what will be eating. She eats low carb so whatever we have will be OP.

Happy 4th everybody.

I gotcright in here today on my old tablet.

We got a new dog on Thursday. He is a 2 year old Bichon. very cute and tiny. 7-8 lbs. Because of him our world is turned upside down. I didnt weigh this morning. 181.4 yesterday. Hopefully I will get back to weighing tomorrow.

pattygirl63 07-05-2025 08:50 PM

Carol Sue I'm glad you got the little dog you've been looking for. Congratulations!

I've been having potty issues all week and couldn't figure out was causing it. Very painful in digestive system. I researched and it seems to be the Stevia I use. I read that I needed to be sure it is only Stevia with nothing added. I checked it and it has Maltodextrin in it and it causes all the trouble I am having. I may have to fast a while to get this stuff out of my system. I finally threw up the pork we had today and my stomach is extremely painful. I might have to give up all sweetener if I can't find one without added stuff in it.

Weight this morning was 167.4 lbs. Numbers were good but I was not in ketosis. Not sure if I will be able to keep doing keto. Will do the best I can.

Had a great time with baby sister and her family. DS DD and her hubby were able to be there too till she had to go home to dress for work. DBIL didn't get to come because he had to take one of their dogs to the emergency vet..

Wannabehealthy 07-06-2025 08:21 AM

Im still getting right in here again, no error message. I wonder what was causing that.

I remembered to weigh today. 181.4 up .2 from 2 days ago.

Brodie is doing well. DH takes him outside often. So far as xxx we know he has not peed inside and pooped inside once, but hes so small his poop is very tiny. He may have been house trained at one point but hasnt had a,stable home recently. He has his forever home now. I tried taking him outside but he runs around me and gets the leash wrapped around my legs. Im afraid of falling. Eventually we should be able to use the tie out like we used for Rusty. We bought him a little bed. He slept in it last night, next to my side NV of the bed. He jumpped onto our bed several times but I put him back down. Its hard with him in our bed. We arentvused to that.

I might make a,chicken and hasg brown casserole today.

i want to use a crate for Brodie when we go out but DH says No. Im afraid he will get hurt. Next time we go to the casino I will refuse to go and NV leave him loose invthe house. Yesterday we took him into Walmart. We were buying dog food and a dog bed and jusr a few groceries. So far he doesnt bark. He did growl once when there were dogs on TV. So we dont know what his bark sounds like. Rusty didnt bark for a longvtime after we got him. l

I looked up Bichon and your new little pet is so cute. If I had a dog, I would want a small one like that. I can understand not wanting to leave him in the house where he could get hurt.

I really had a horrible reaction to that Stevia I was using. DH looked at it and it had in small print that it was blended with other stuff. He threw it out. Right now I'm thinking of just eating normal food and count calories and not worry about all the popular diet plans. I am going to try to eat healthy but no more foods with stuff in it you can't pronounce etc. I have lab tomorrow but since I have to baby my stomach today, I am eating chicken noodle soup and maybe later today I will have scrambled eggs which should be easy on my stomach. Not sure what that will do to my blood draw, but I will just trust the Good Lord to take care of that.

Although I will count calories, I still won't eat a high carb diet. I know that won't be helpful to my FBG. Weight this morning 166.8 lb and that was probably because I threw up everything I ate yesterday. FBG 115 and while that is not bad. it isn't good either. I've had it better.

Have a nice day everybody.

I'm so confused on what day it is. Sunday. We went back to Wal-Mart and bought another dog bed. He seems,to like it and it,was only $7.99. Now we don't have to carry it from the living room to the bedroom.
We took him to Wal-Mart both times. He just rode in the baby seat.

He is doing good going out for potty. One pee and one poop inside so far, the rest outside.

Trish do you not want to use the Allulose sweetener? The only thing I use sweetener for is hot tea. But I eat baked goods and ice cream that contains sugar. Also I eat rice, pasta, and potatoes. So I just watch total carbs.

pattygirl63 07-07-2025 12:03 AM

Carol Sue I pretty much have decided to eat pasta and potatoes. I like stevia if I can find one that is pure stevia no blends. Just not sure I can find that. I may have to go ahead and eat a little bit of sugar. I don't eat a lot of it. I will have to research. I will still have to watch total carbs.

pattygirl63 07-07-2025 01:46 PM

Strange that I haven't been able to eat much for 2 days and calories yesterday were less than 500 and I guess what they say about your body holding on to what it has is true. Weight up to168.6 this morning. FBG 105 and ketones 0.8 bp was very good as well. Of course, the weight could be the sodium in the soup and the crackers I ate. Who knows?

I looked up to see what Dr. Amy says about sweeteners, but she talks about sugar and says there is no scientific proof that sugar causes cancer cells to grow. She said they say that because they use glucose for Pet Scans and it causes cancer cells to light up but she says all cells light up with glucose. She goes on to say your brain needs glucose to function so your body will find some other way to make glucose. So at this point, I don't think they know.

However, she is an ovarian cancer survivor and she suggests that protein is the key way of eating along with eating your antioxidants in the form of fruits (she tells which ones to eat) and green veggies are very important. She also seems to think that legumes are also important to help rid yourself of cancer and remain cancer free. So I will start following her way of eating and not worry too much about carbs. Although I don't want to go to high on the carbs so will still try to keep them kind of low and of course I want to keep calories low. Losing weight seems to have a lot to do with helping me become cancer free and protecting myself from having cancer again. This makes sense for me to follower her plan.

I tried drinking coffee with the Protein shake in it and I think I have to give up caffeine at least until my stomach heals. Will try to drink caffeine free tomorrow. She uses milk in her coffee so I might try that. She also recommends 2% milk. DH will love that since I have switched on him so often.

Blood work this afternoon and then we will go to the store. Going to Sam's and Walmart. DH plans to get Chinese food today. I will be careful and keep calories low. My stomach may help me keep from eating too much of it.

Carol Sue How is Brodie doing today?

Have a good day.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
DH changed his mind so we had KFC chicken and slaw. I had 2 thighs with skin and breading removed. I will end the day with a good amount of protein and 36 total grams of carbs. So turned out a good day. I was able to find a Stevia made by Splenda with dextrose instead of maltodexitrin.

Wannabehealthy 07-08-2025 11:20 AM

Scale today was,181.2 , down .2 from 181.4 on Sunday, but today I had, clothes on, demon capris and, tee, shirt, so its, probably a,couple tenths lower. I forgot to get weighed before,I dressed. had to dress, because,SIL was, coming to get a,tool from DH. He doesn't like me to be in my nightgown if someone, comes.

Funny, but yesterday he,was out in the yard with the,dog in his underwear. Our yard is,secluded so no one, could, see him.
I have to pay bills, today . They are past due!

pattygirl63 07-08-2025 11:55 AM

Weight 168.8 up .4 lb which is good since I usually gain more after eating KFC. Other #s are good. Nothing new going on here today. Hope everybody has a good day. Praying for all those affected by the floods. So so sad.

Wannabehealthy 07-08-2025 08:30 PM
