Hello all: I did a 24 hr fast yesterday and ate a nice supper. I was higher carb having a couple of fresh juicy peaches for dessert.
fasting so far today as well. Not sure if I will have supper later or not. Was thinking not. No one has gotten meat out of the freezer for making supper, so I will assume everyone well eat light. It is VERY hot and VERY humid right now here. It was 24 when I got up at 630 and now is 29, but with the humidex its 39.
Buddy wanted a walk because we didn't take a long enough walk this morning, I was wilting in the warmth and humidity. SO we went down the trail and he had a swim in the creek. He enjoyed that a lot.
Now he is good and tired and so am I. I wonder if I can manage a nap, but I am going to give it a try.

Pipsicle, that sounds like a nice holiday. I am sorry the soda addiction has affected your loss. I do like the bubbles so I have switched to sparkling water or soda water. I sometimes have a splash of juice in it to liven it up, but no longer have trouble sticking to the non-sweet alternatives. We have this Bubbly stuff and other flavoured seltzers that are not sweet and they are the new rage. No artificial sweeteners either, so I am pretty much off the diet pop train now to.

Mad, we have the bubbly flavored water here, too. I always have Diet Coke caffeine free in the house but it is maybe a once a week thing. I am shocked that I broke my Diet Coke habit. I never thought I would. When I dieted previously it was very often something to keep me from eating.

I made chili for dinner and cooked some Brussels sprouts too. I want to start making a vegetable with dinner even for things that don't usually go with a vegetable. We are not big on salad but prefer hot vegetables. I was surprised that DH ate Brussels sprouts and asked if that was all I made! Maybe he's turning over a new leaf. We each got 4 sprouts as that was all I had left. I would love for him to eat more veggies.

I am trying to decide if I had enough. I am not stuffed. I ate slowly and chewed well. I have to keep in mind that I will not eat again until tomorrow and it's only 4 pm. I think I am still a little bit hungry and will eat another half cup of chili. More Brussels sprouts would be to my liking, too. Eating when hungry is a no brainer but stopping when satisfied is harder..

Carol Sue Yes I am still doing WWSP although I am put out with WW app right now. They make it where you have to depend on them for the amount of pts and then I couldn't get accurate count of my McDs CB without the bun because they no longer showed it or the computer wasn't working correctly. I saw some people on FB had the same problem a while back. I don't like paying for an app that doesn't work right all the time. So I had to estimate. I didn't eat until our regular time so I had a good 20 hr fast so it won't matter except that my pt count won't be accurate. If my weight loss doesn't improve, I'm thinking about switching to the green plan because you count everything except fruits and vegetables. Point do go up although I'm not sure how much. I looked at what people were eating on green and noticed that eggs which are 0 Pts on blue are 2 pts on green. So perhaps it would be better to count all the food except for the fruits and veggies. It might also make it easier to switch to the fiber plan in October when my contract runs out with WW. I did a 4 hr eating window yesterday and will have the same today. Also I noticed that I already have all but 6 pts of my activity pts to earn this week. I set the goal at 30 and I have 24 done at the end of this day. I will have a 1 pt rollover for tomorrow. So far I am as close to OP as I can be.

Fatmad Looks like you are getting back into the groove of things. I know you will feel better and the weight will start coming down now that you are. Your little Buddy helps keep you walking. Hope you got your nap. Not sure why but I seem to really need those myself these days. I remember a time when I protested when anyone wanted me to take a nap.

A few days ago, I laughed at how we talk about the heat where we live. I know from having traveled north that what would be cool here would be hot to y'all. A few weeks back when we thought we were going to start getting into our high temps in the 100s that we usually get this time of the year here in TX. I had to lauph when the girl doing the weather laughed and said "You know you live in TX when you think of temperatures in the mid 90s as a cold front. We had expected low 100s but ended up with mid 90s instead.

Well, I'm going to take a nap before I have to do my laundry.

Edited: I decided to switch to WW Green plan which means that there are only 100 zero pts foods which are some veggies and fruits. Eggs will cost me pts and so will some of the beans and corn that I've been eating. I think this will probably be better. I get 30 pts instead of 23 but I think counting most of the pts is wiser. I also raised my Activity pts to 35 as it can't hurt for me to earn more pts. The more activity the better. I think I've been eating too many 0 pts. My Sara Lee bread and my bacon pts are the same. I will only have to count the pts in my eggs. I will have 4 pts to rollover to cover the cheeseburger that I had to guesstimate the points on. I am determined to lose this weight.

Trish: I have to wonder how humid it is where you are? The humidity makes a huge difference to how hot something feels. The last couple of days there was also a breeze, which makes a difference. We seldom get that, and still air feels heavier again. Today is definitely cooler, so a walk this am will be great. We had a bit of rain last night and the humidity blew away and it was a bit better.

Today's weight is 156. I have a busy work week, but likely won't be too bad on the weekend. I have yet another client from early August who may labour before I go off.
Hoping not. I am sleeping better, but still tired a lot. Funny how more and better sleep can leave me like that, but I have a lot to catch up on.

I just looked online at the weather in Waco Tx compared to Pittsburgh Pa. Tx is 82 degrees with 84 percent humidity at 8:45 AM and Pittsburgh is 76 degrees with 82 percent humidity at 9:45, so yes, they do have humidity similar to ours. Our temps have been in the 90s for several days but the rest of the week is to be in the high 80s. Toronto .CA is 76 degrees like us here in Pittsburgh but your humidity is only 65. These are at the minute and can change throughout the day. I don't go walking or do much else outside. I go from my air conditioned house to my air conditioned car to the air conditioned store. I would hate to have to work outside in this heat!

Trish, when I did WW I think everything was counted but veggies and fruit. That was the only plan at that time. I did it low carb and just ate protein and veggies and lost well. I went to meetings. When I tried to do it on my own I could not. I needed the meetings. It was like going to church each Sunday to stay on the straight and narrow! LOL. I think being able

I have been sleeping longer but according to Fitbit it is rarely good sleep. If I have a short night I end up taking a nap. I go to bed without my Tylenol. If I wake up and can't fall back to sleep I take the Tylenol. The hours after the Tylenol are always better sleep, according to Fitbit. I use my Fitbit more to analyze sleep than for activity. Sometimes Fitbit shows a short nap in my recliner when I didn't even know I fell asleep.

My eating has not been as good this week as last week. I have not felt as much hunger which tells me I've overeaten more. I still have 3 days to weigh in. I will try to make today low carb.

Fatmad Looks like Carol Sue answered the question about the humidity. Like her I mostly go for AC house to AC car etc. Not really good. I told DH the other day that I just don't sweat like I should and he told me that I needed to get out and walk. I'm sure the humidity would make that happen, but it is so much easier to do exercise in the house. However, I hope to be able to do that eventually.

Weight this morning was 196 even but FBG was up to 127 which I'm sure that is because of the grapes I had last night when I got hungry outside my 4 hr window. I should have had protein instead but when I switched to Green plan, I went to a 30 pts a day and was able to work around those points in order to have 5 rollover pts which would have covered the McD's CB better since I didn't know how much to count it. I don't use my exercise pts and I try not to use the weekly pts so I allowed for the mistake. Today I have planned my lunch which is going to be swai fish fillet and I still have 15 pts left and I'm using butter in my veggies. I am skipping breakfast again today. Not sure what I will have for my evening meal. I'm thinking about eating a 1 egg wrap although I have to say an omelet someone pictured on his post yesterday on the FB Green group I joined looked delicious. I'm sure I won't use all my points today. DH probably isn't going to like the fact that I am going to cook us one swai fillet each today. It is 1 pt instead of 0 on this but I am trying to use my points and we both need the protein.

Carol Sue I was just thinking this morning that the Green plan will make it easy to do low carb or even CAD. I think I remember some girls on the FB CAD group used WW to keep up with their eating. I don't have to follow the exact CAD rules to use a similar plan on WW Green. I'm going to enjoy this. I probably will go back to eating 3MAD on this plan on an 8 hr eating window, but I get bloodwork this Thursday morning and go see my doctor next week. So I am doing my best to do the 2MAD for these 2 weeks to jumpstart the green plan to get my weight moving again. However, I would love to get back to eating brunch, early dinner and little to no snack in the evening and keep it in an 6 to 8 hr eating window. Maybe instead of a snack just have a protein shake since that seems to help with my FBG readings the next day.

I'm running late on everything today so must get busy. We are having our house sprayed indoors tomorrow and I have a lot of extra cleaning I want to get done before he comes tomorrow afternoon. They have never had to come inside and only spray outside but DH and I both saw spiders in our entry hall and bathrooms.

I stayed pretty low,carb today. Breakfast was scrambled eggs with sauteed mushrooms. Lunch was sauteed onions and kale with feta cheese. Dinner was grilled tilapia for me and steak for DH with brocolli, cauliflower and mashed potatoes. I have wanted tilapia for a long time. DH doesnt eat it so that's more for me. Oh, and I had a half of a banana. I will key it into MFP but I believe carbs will be low. Low for me, maybe not someone else. I'm hoping for nothing else but water.

I have been sweating more than usual lately. It was hot in the kitchen when I was cooking dinner and I didn't think to use the ceiling fan. DH said with all the heat we've been having its hard for the air condition to keep up.

today is so delightfully cool. It did get up to 27, but there is very little humidity so it feels lovely. Buddy and I have walked twice so far today, and we will have a night-time before bed stroll too.
I broke my fast at 3 with some yogurt and blueberries, then went for tea with a friend and had a small "Keto" scone with cheese with her.
Planning a small steak and salad for supper. I would like to fast tomorrow, and its a very busy work day, so that should help.
Made a plan with my doc about going off the meds and retesting the liver to see if that is the issue. She is also going to test me for some other things, make sure there is no Hep C or something like that hanging around. (I think I would be much sicker with Hep C, but I will comply with her testing) She is a good and caring doc. This was a phone visit, my first time being the patient for a phone visit!
A little glitch with the cell service, but we worked that out.

Everyone: your eating is on target, lets go and get these pounds off.

Today has been a good eating day. I had 2 meals within 4 hr eating window and the housework I did was such that I'm going to be sore tomorrow from all the twisting and turning. I really should clean like that at least once a week. I still have some last minute things to do not because of the pest control coming but just because I need to get some regular every week stuff done. I ended up with 4 pts to rollover. I enjoyed eating and really don't need those pts while doing only 2 meals a day. I found it easy to have my 1 egg/cheese taquito for dinner. I'm seeing how easy it will be to eat a meal with DH and then have what I normally would eat for breakfast in the evening. For some reason I also found it much easier to eat more veggies today too. I sure hope to make this a lifestyle.

That's good Trish. Have your breakfast meal in the evening if it doesn't appeal to you in the morning. The only reason I had 3 meals yesterday was to get my kale in at lunchtime. I don't even know if that should be considered a meal but I don't like the word "snack." To me a snack is something bad.

​​​This morning we have to go to Wal-Mart So DH will want breakfast out, probably McDonald's drive thru. I like Egg McMuffins but then later I will miss my scrambled eggs. Our tomatoes are really starting to ripen fast so that will be my lunch. We have about 10 of them. DH grows smaller ones, thank goodness. I have some recipes I could make with them but most of them are things DH won't eat. I will give some to the neighbor.

Well, I got on the scale this morning. I felt fat but I didn't think I overate badly this week so I wanted the scale to tell me I didn't gain. Too bad. I have gained back the 2 lbs I lost last week. I think that loss wasn't real but dehydration. I'm just disgusted with this. From now on I will try to eat as healthy as I can and not worry about my weight. I will weigh and in my heart I know I will try not to gain but right now I'm done. I can lose if I starve myself but I don't want to live the rest of my life like that.

Carol Sue I'm sorry about the gain. I know how you feel. I just don't understand how weight loss works for sure. Try to hang in there. I hate to admit it but it just might be our age makes things more difficult. However, we can do this and just think of the fact that hopefully they are right and we are doing good healthy things for our bodies. We know the alternatives and we don't want to go there.

Yesterday I just knew that my weight was going to be up and it was 196. Then today I thought I would at least weigh the same and I'm back up to 197.6. I guess the weight gain could be because I only got up and went to the bathroom once last night and could be water weight. Who knows.

It just doesn't make since especial since I ate less yesterday and lighter meals unless it is the fact that I cannot have a meal at night. It might be too that I need to spread my food over 3 meals rather than just eating them within 2 meals So today I am back to my brunch and having dinner early in the afternoon and a snack as needed but try to keep them within 8 hr eating window. I won't force the snack as I still think IE theory is the best. Eat ONLY when hungry. I also won't force the brunch either as I don't like thinking that I HAVE to eat or even that I can't eat something if I am really hungry. FBG was high yesterday of 127 which could have been cold hands because today is 108.

I'm glad you mentioned kale. I want to get some kale and also some zucchini and asparagus tomorrow at the store. I'm seeing that a lot of the people on Green plan eat those. Tomorrow is WI day and although it didn't seem to help today, I plan to eat light today hoping I can at least weigh what I did last week. I think I am going to start eating less starchy carbs and more veggie carbs again. Like I said yesterday doing WW green seems to make that easier. I think it helps to count everything.

Trish, although you are bouncing now, remember you are bouncing in the 190s not the 200s. Isn't that a good feeling? I think following the green plan will work for you. I don't know that my problem is I have been cooking more. Maybe I eat more when I cook. I didn't cook today. DH made corn on the cob and hot dogs. I like Sugardale hot dogs but he wanted me to get beef hot dogs. I don't know if it was the hot dog or not but I felt awful. I was burping so bad and felt like I was blown up. I am still burping a terrible taste. I guess I won't know until I eat one again. I took 2 Pepcids and I'm still burping!

Carol Sue So sorry the hot dog didn't settle with you. I hope you feel better soon.

My day has gone very well. I finally made myself do the stationary bike mainly because I had already tracked it and made my goal trophy I get each week when I make my goal. Funny how that makes me feel since it is just an online award that I never see again, but it affects me enough to keep me doing my exercises. I guess that is why they do it. Anyway, I got my 35 pts for this past week that I don't use.

Well, the problem I seem to be having on Green plan or maybe it is the best thing about the Green plan is that I just can't use all the daily points. I had 4 pts left over today. So I had a lot of points that rolled over and will roll over today that I will lose at midnight since tomorrow starts a new week for me. Actually I like that better than running out of points and using weeklies like I did on Blue plan. I ended up eating a home made version of an Egg McMuffin. Lunch was a Lean Cuisean dinner and tonight I had a Premier shake along with a half sandwich with just a slice of Canadian bacon on it and like I said I still have 4 pts I will never use. So I think I am doing very well.

I have to get up early tomorrow to go get my lab work done before I go to the beauty shop. My appointment was for 9:30 for lab but that just means I can go anytime during the morning. Last week beautician told us she wants Friday off so I called to be sure about lab work and learned they start at 8 am. So I can get to the docs office between 8:30 & 8:45 so I can make it to the beauty shop for my 9:30 appointment. I will take my coffee so I can drink it on the way to the beauty shop. I will go to the store after since I want to go back to buy some of the greens etc that I haven't been eating lately. I want to keep eating the fruit to so I will start buying that again too. I found out today that the Green plan is the Original WW we did for quite a while and I did really good on that one so I am going to start eating like I did when I was on it in SC. That also tells me that if I decide to come off the WW site in November that the fiber slider I bought will work as well.

I found it very easy to stay within my 8 hr eating window today so I think that is what I am going to stick to for a while and maybe just make that my lifestyle way of eating.
