I ended up with a 15.5 hour fast, which I consider to be a good start.

I am now reading Circadian Code, which is about the Circadian clock. Not just sleep, but availability of sunlight, and time restricted eating. This book convinces me that Always Eat After 7 PM is not for me. That book had a lot of information that was beneficial to me, but eating at night is not one of them. It goes against my natural instincts. One thing Circadian Code says is to keep your eating schedule the same from day to day rather than changing it to trick your body. He says that upsets your circadian rhythm that can affect weight and sleep.

If anyone is interested, I found this book on PDF and am reading it free.

Carol Sue Did you get your salad from Wendy's? I used to love their salads. I will look up the book. You said you got it on PDF. I assume that means you got it online? I will look for it to read.

I don't think eating after 7 is for me either. I think that may be what is causing me to have stomach problems the past few days since that has the only thing I have really done different. I've read about the Circadian Rhythm before and I always thought it was important. I most certainly will be looking for it. I've kind of gotten to a place in Always Eat After 7 that doesn't seem to be interesting enough to me so not sure I will read any further.

I got sick yesterday at lunchtime. Although, this started with a horrible sinus headache. Thank God I don't get them very often. So I can't swear eating after 7 had anything to do with it. I really think the medicine I took for the headache is probably what upset my stomach. I have no idea what it brought it on unless it was brought on by the change in weather. It rained last night a bit and we are having a rain storm as I right. Anyway DH finally found our thermometer and I checked it but I didn't have fever. I made a nice fish lunch which he said was good but it tasted terrible to me so I ended up throwing it out. I never could eat much because I had indigestion most of the night. I am drinking a Premier Shake with a banana in it right now and I'm not sure I will eat anything today. I can feed DH left over roast or cook him a frozen lasagna.

Weight was back down to 198.8 today and FBG was up to 125. I won't do any exercise today. I did 30 minutes on the bike Sun and Mon and I will do it again Wed and Thurs for my 4 days this week.

You can get the book on Amazon but I didn't want to spend the money. I looked up Circadium Code PDF and downloaded it. It is harder to read on pdf but saves money.

I got my salad from Wendys, they have a half and a whole salad.

Today I finished off the cabbage rolls. Now we'll see how fast my weight comes back down. I can't have any food I really like in the house. I am a food addict. If I have food I really like I can only get 1 portion at a time. Otherwise I have to stick to nourishing food that is just ok. That way I will just eat what I need. I don't think I will be wanting dinner again tonight. My poor husband.

The governor just closed restaurants and bars in our county. I don't know how long, I guess until numbers go down. No more Texas Roadhouse. Tomorrow they are announcing changes for Washington county, which is where the casino is. I have my fingers crossed. :D. I don't know if the hairdresser will be closing again. I hope not.

Wt went down a couple points. I've lost track of how much I was yesterday but it was 195 something and now I'm 194 something. You will soon pass me up, Trish! It makes me happy that you are doing so well but sad that I'm stagnating. Do you understand that? I am not losing. I'm barely maintaining. I need to do something to change that. I am glad the cabbage rolls are gone because I was overeating every day but it definitely kept me regular.

Today they should announce if the casino will close again. So far it is just bars and restaurants. It's unbelievable how the covid cases have increased. Be safe everyone!

My weight is back down to the side avatar of 197.6. Today I'm having some mild poddy issues so my weight may go down some more. I took some medicine the other day and thought it wasn't going to work but I guess it could be working from then. If it is, it sure took a long time for it to work through my system. FBG was back down to 114 this morning so happy about that.

Carol Sue I think your weight will start coming back down. The cabbage may have caused you some swelling/bloating from eating so much at a time and I'm sure it will come down again. I'm thinking that may be what has happened to me. It just took a few days for all that bloating to come off. Now just to keep things moving more normally. I know that overdoing some types of fiber causes me more problems than others. I hope things work out the way you want them to with the casino.

I'm feeling better today although I haven't done a lot today. I had a homemade Egg McMuffin for breakfast. I'm going to cook cook chicken tenders. I'll probably cut them into nuggets and lightly batter them and pan fry them. Not sure what I will add. I won't eat salad for a while. It tasted so bad the day I got sick that I just can't eat them right one right now. I just might have what I used to call a finger salad for me and make a salad for DH.

They haven't closed anything here that I know of but they are still requiring the masks in places of business. I don't think I will have to go to the store until Friday when I leave the beauty shop and I won't need much of anything then. I told DS this morning that I couldn't understand why they want people to wear masks and not gloves. Really strange.

I started reading the Circadian Code and it really makes sense to me. I didn't have a weight problem until I went from 2 meals to 3 and 3 and snack. I find it interesting too about the 12 hr eating window. I know that my A1c is better when I eat on a 10 hr window. Remember when I checked my BS during the day, that my bs was lower if I went 5 or 6 hrs between meals. So maybe that is how my Circadian Rhythm works. I'm looking forward to seeing what else this book says. I payed $2.99 for the Synopsis of the book on my Kindle.

Trish, a nurse on TV showed that when you wear gloves the germs stay on them and transfer to everything else you touch so you are just spreading it more. I don't see many people wearing gloves. I don't know if it's better to close things or keep them open. It seems the virus is spreading either way.

I am cooking hot sausage today and I have a list for Walmart.

Wt is down again. I have lost 2.6 lbs since Sunday but as soon as I get to 192 it starts back up again. We'll see what happens this time.

Wal-Mart was out of a lot of things. I don't know if it was because we went later in the day. I like to go at 10am. They start stocking early in the morning and are usually well stocked by 10 but not crowded. We stopped at Dollar General on the way home and they didn't have some of what I wanted. In my confusion I forgot to get eggs. We have enough for today. I will need Tylenol Arthritis in a week or so but no one had it. I buy the store brand. I could have gone to a drug store but it would have cost more. I will try switching to regular Tylenol. Maybe it will work. DH likes Pastaroni for lunch and no one had that either.

We didn't hear anything about the casino so we will probably be going.

I finished Circadian Code. It impressed in my mind WHY it's important for me to stop eating after dinner and stick to mealtimes that I'm accustomed to. It said if you eat late at night your body is already getting ready for sleep so digestion will be slow and sluggish and produce more fat. It is only after 6 or more hours after dinner that your body begins to burn fat. Maybe if I keep thinking about that fat burn it will keep me from eating. I think that was what kept me on plan years ago. There was other good information in the book and I'm glad I read it.

I'm still reading the Circadian Code. I haven't gotten that far yet, but I do agree with their idea about not eating after 6 pm. I think I will work on that. In fact, I ate something late last night when I had not planned to and I had strange even bad dreams. When I woke up, I realized that it was probably caused from the bad dreams I had. So it would be good for me to stop eating anything late at night. Of course I wasn't hungry this morning. When I finally did eat this morning, I had 2 boiled eggs and 2 slices of bacon. My bacon was my only points today.

My weight stayed at 197.6 but my FBG was 125 which isn't unusual when I eat late at night especially fruit.

DH says he had fun at the casino. He played for a very long time but lost. I don't know. Nothing I can do about it.

I didn't eat much today. I am eating fewer calories since I don't buy the sausage and I don't really miss it. I had 2 fried eggs and Aldis zero carb toast. I ate a hot dog at the casino and a few of DHs fries. I'm hungry now but I want the overnight fast and fat burning so I'm going to bed hungry.

I ate less than 1000 calories, went to bed very hungry, and gained .2 lbs! @%&#*! WTH?? For 1 thing, I didn't drink my water yesterday. I had a small bottle with me and a Diet Coke with my hot dog. I didn't even get up during the night for the bathroom. Oh well, it's probably fluid, but I was really expecting a drop.

Awe Carol Sue Doesn't that just blow your mind? I have never understood how that happens but I read the other day that sometimes not drinking enough water will cause us to hang on to fluid.

Today is my WI and I am up .6 lbs but I've decided not to change it on WW website because that isn't really a gain and I don't think you should think of .2 lbs as a gain either. That is just fluid that will be off before long any way. Maybe within an hour or so. I know I didn't have a BM this morning and that could be the .2 lbs although I did eat last night but I didn't ever use all weekly pts this week. So I'm not going to worry about it. I still have to work at finding my Circadian Rhythm again. I don't know if it will be the same as it was originally before I messed things up when I was made to think I had to eat more or if it changes over the years. However, I do know that I cannot stay up as late as I did last night because it definitely throws my system off and I want to eat too late at night. My week has been off any way with me not feeling up to par so I didn't get to read any yesterday so I will get back to it today. My FBG was 101 this morning which kind of shocked me with what I ate last night. I guess I will never understand how and why my body works like it does. I just need to learn how it does work and then work in sync with it.

I'm not going to the beauty shop today. My beautician is hoping to have surgery in August and although I don't think I have a bug since I've never had fever, I wouldn't want to take her something and her have to postpone her surgery on my account.

Trish, I was so sick in February and slightly sick a few times since, and every time I think it might be the virus. They said today that although the cases are way up it is not as virulent as it was in the spring. Maybe it's losing strength.

I have been sleeping good the past few days. I am running out of Tylenol Arthritis and 2 stores are out of the big bottle I buy. Last night I only took one. I will continue with 1 until I can cut back to regular Tylenol. That's what I used to take.

Thinking about burning fat overnight really kept me from eating last night. Even though I didn't lose, I know I will if I continue with my overnight fast and only eat when hungry. It worked before. I just need something to convince me to stay on track. Circadian Code made me understand it's not so much what you eat but when, and probably how much.

We went to Texas Roadhouse again today. DH loves that place. I will have to get him to try something different. Maybe Applebees. I wasn't very hungry so I got a chicken critter salad. I barely made a dent in it. I don't put my dressing on the salad so I brought it home. If it gets wilted overnight I will at least eat the chicken out of it. After we came home DH ate some ice cream and I passed on that. Now, at 9 p.m. he made some hard cooked eggs. I really wanted one but I stood my ground and did not break my fast. This is the third day in a row that I stuck to my fasting schedule. Something has to work sooner or later. I'm starting to get back to eating my meals and nothing else. I'm feeling hungry but after I go to bed I will fall asleep and forget about it. This is how it is supposed to be for me. This is how it was before I met DH, Mr Snackman!! LOL. He can eat the way he wants and I can eat the way I want.

Carol Sue Good for you on your 3 days OP. Today is my first day back OP. I stayed within about 8 1/2 hr of eating. I read some more in the Circadian Code and honestly believe that I gained weight because my Circadian rhythm 2MAD for most of my life. When I went to college and started eating more often or going for malts and milk shakes with college friends and later eating 3 meals a day when I moved in with my aunt and years later when I married and cooked for a husband and his 3 kids and started eating 3 meals and snacks I really messed up my Circadian rhythm. Hopefully I can get my rhythm back in time and it will work for me again.

I would love to go out for a steak soon. I've got one in the fridge now that I'm trying a new way of tenderizing with a salt brine that I am going to grill tomorrow. I have tried doing it before and I hope this knew way I saw on YouTube will work. I've had these in the freezer for a long time because the last one I cooked was as tough as it could be. I never was much of an Applebees person. It would just be nice to go out somewhere right now.

My best friend that I went to church with and used to sing in nursing homes together years ago before DH and I marred called me yesterday and today. I thought we were all going to be close when I moved back but never knew why we weren't. Now she is interested in us being friends and doing things together again. In fact, they are wanting to go visit the church DH and I want to visit when we can start going to church again. They are having services now but they are giving people masks to wear and DH said he doesn't want to wear a mask in church. So we will all go visit when we don't have to wear them again. It is good to be friends with her again.
