Bydureon

  • Morning folks! I went to the Dr on Monday and was down another 7 pounds. But Doc wasn't happy. His words were, "I wish you'd get a sense of urgency about this" So, I started on Medifast. :/ We'll see how it goes. It least it's a lower carb diet.

AND Victoza is no longer a formulary drug on my insurance which means they won't cover it anymore. But this new drug, Bydureon, is allowed. It's supposed to be the same thing but it's a once a week shot. The injections are a bit more complicated as you have to mix up the powder from a vial. I'm about to take my first shot. Hope I do it right!!!

    Anyone else try Bydureon yet?
  • how long did it take to lose that 7 pounds? and what are your sugars?
Keeping sugars stable AND losing some weight sounds good to me.
Don't let it get you down, keep up the good work.
  • It was a 11 months since my last visit. It was a hectic year. LoL All together though I'd dropped 48 pounds over the last 3-4 years. I'm down 54 now since I started Medifast.

My AIC was 6.2 so not horrid but could be better.
  • kjsspot,

Your numbers sound very good to me! What I would give to see an A1C at 6.2. I think my doc would have a coronary! LOL
