Meowee - hope you feel better soon! Rosey, glad you are starting to feellike yourself again, that muffin sounds delicious. I had an indulgent moment too... a Reese Peanut butter cup. (hallowe'en size)

I made a pot of bef and barley soup today, it's simmering on the stove right now. It's for my hubby, not for me as it's got a fair bit of fat in it from a prime rib roast I used. Maybe I'll have a couple of spoonfuls.

Today I started organizing my packing. I put a sheet over our billiard table and started loading it up with clothes and shoes, toiletries and travel necessities for my and my daughter. The luggage is up on the table too ready to start filling as we get closer to our travel date. 24 days away now!

My weigh in is next Saturday and I'm expecting it to be a huge drop... maybe even as high as 10lbs. I think her scale was reading was off at last weigh in. At home my scale said 159 and hers gave me 163... today mine is reading 148. I don't know what is accurate, but I can tell you I bought a pair of jeans in a size 10. They are a tiny bit snug at the waist but still totally wearable... I figure in 2 weeks they'll be a perfect fit. My goal was to be at 150 for this cruise... starting at 215 in May. I am so close now and really amazed and proud of this accomplishment.

Afraid my day is going downhill. While I was up here on the computer earlier today, Freckle died with his head caught in a plastic bag (empty bag from Fibre One cereal I had had for breakfast) . . . I'm now playing the 'if only' game . . . if only I hadn't been on the computer . . . if only I had thrown the empty bag in the garbage this morning. Poor baby, he was only 7 and a half months old and such a little cuddle-bunny. :cry:

Hi gang . . . I'm pretty much down in the dumps today . . . as you might expect.

Still pretty upset about the freaky accident with Freckle yesterday and trying so very hard to convince myself that Heaven obviously needed my sweet little kitten more than I did. Today Frick and Frack are wandering around the house meowing all the time and trying to find their brother -- that's sad in and of itself. :cry: The weather is kind of dismal too and so is my BGL. I'm sure all these things will get better with a little time.

Thanks for all your good thoughts . . . Hopefully I'll be feeling chattier in another day or two days. :wave:

Everything seems a little brighter this morning . . . amazing what getting a decent night's sleep can do. :yes: BGL is still out of balance, but hopefully that will fall back into line soon, too. The sun is shining and that always makes me feel better. It is definitely not warm as a matter of fact the temperature is only just above the freezing mark. We didn't get any snow yet, but they are predicting some for overnight tonight.

Monet, I have that same situation.. eating the same every day with somedays low and somedays high BG. Makes no sense and I exercise everyday too.

Meowee, it's cold today here in TOronto - but there is a warmfront coming in and tomorrow is supposed to be 18 degrees and sunny! Great for the trick-or-treaters.

Hi everyone.. sry for the late post my dd thought he was doing a good thing and messed up our computer..its taken me all morning to fix it:?: a popup told him we had a avirues and he clicked on it and thought it was a fix.. all it did was mess things up but i think i isolated the problem as the puter seems to be running ok now i wish he wouldnt do those things that he doesnt have a clue what he doing:dizzy: anyways my sl was 126 this am really high for me but when i got home from bingo last night i was starving and had grapes and some cheese and crackers..that did it as i usually dont eat after 8pm..its frosty cold and windy here today..im feeling more like myself today.. and i did win at bingo last night:D i came home with 215$ more than when i went yay yippee yay!!..am glad u are better to meowee..monet hope the dinner goes well and thin warm up with a cup of tea..ttfn and where is everyone else?? if you are lurking come back we miss you at least let us know u are ok,casandra, shane, jeanne, glen, rosetta and anyone else ive forgotton:( (((hugs))) rosey :wave:

Well, this is probably the best looking October 31 st we've had since I moved to Nova Scotia. Sun is shining. High temperature is predicted to be around 10C (50F). Best of all, it's going to stay clear and mild through all the evening "trick and treat" hours too. :carrot:

My BGL appears to have settled back down -- 6.4 (115) this morning after a decent 5.4 (97) at dinner last night. Hopefully that pattern will continue.

Best of all, I let the scale:devil: out of his corner and he grudgingly rewarded me with a 2 pound loss for the month of October. :yay: I'm putting him away again though because I know he'll keep trying to get under-foot all the time if he's too "available", and then we'll only start fighting again. :dizzy: So next weight up-date will be November 28th.

Anyway, hope you all stay brave in the face of the Halloween goodies, gang. Since I get very few kids, I stopped giving candy a few years ago (mostly because I couldn't handle the leftovers) and now just give Loonies -- the kids like that anyway. Hey what kid doesn't like money? :D
