Default Having a rough night.

Hi there.
I know no one knows me here yet, but you all seem pretty open to ranting, so I'm gonna.

I really want to get drunk tonight, but I'm not going to. I just want to.
My relationship is ending, and he's my only friend within state lines.
School is almost over for the summer and I don't have anything to keep my busy until I HOPEFULLY find a job.
I ate half a box of those Nutty Bar things. The little debbie's ones.
I wish I had better ways to handle my anxiety and mood swings, but I don't.
AND my therapist is a big idiot.

I've been sober for 14 months but fat for much longer than that.
I hope things look better tomorrow.

Hey Bee's....

How did you do last night ? Sorry I didn't see this until now.
I understand your frustrations, I have been there too. What you need to realize is that there are plenty of other fish in the sea...yup its true. Right now its hard to believe that there will be others but its true.

I'm glad your going to look for work during the summer, I bet you'll meet some nice people there, bet you'll meet people your own age you can hang out with.

Are you taking meds for your anxiety and moods?

Hi there, I'm feeling better today.

I take Lithium which has done a lot for me, but every now and then I get really depressed. It also makes it harder for me to lose weight...which in turn makes me depressed Oh well. I'm much better off taking it than not.

thank you for caring<3

Good for you for not turning to alcohol! That takes ALOT of willpower!

And as for the relationship thing...I'm so sorry to hear that. It makes me sad

But you're handling it SO well!
So you should be proud of yourself!

hi glad you got thru the night. i know all about the demon drink and temptations. do you know a lot of people move from alcohol to other stimulants (coffee, sugar, smokes?) so what you're experiencing is not so unusual. do you have a sponsor or someone who is helping you stay sober that you can phone when you want a drink?

if you are experiencing ongoing depression you could talk to your doc about meds. sometimes they add an antidepressant to the lithium

Yay for you for getting through the night. Sometimes that's all we can ask for.

I used to take lithium, too. That stuff sucks. But if nothing else works, it's a lifesaver.

Losing weight will help you feel better. You'll have more self-esteem, and one less thing to be depressed about. You can do it.
