Morning Leens.......was here earlier but too darn lazy to start the daily's

I am doing fine with diet and exercise......I never sit still and there is no time for snacking.....my pants are so loose now I am forever pulling them up...more inches than pounds but that will come.

Off to work....have to drop off dd7 at her little friends.......

Liz..............loose pants are a great problem to have...tight ones feel awful!

After reading last nights post from Cathy.................it makes little problems seem so unimportant.When we just get a small "peep" into The Hurricanes damage which she says is so small compared to most! I cannot imagine having to go back to work in the midst of all of this!

Cathy.I am so glad you are sharing...it gives me a prayer target daily for you and your community! I hope you know we all care and wish we could help in some way.

Today I have a trip to the Gyn to figure out why after 3 different Pills My period doesn't stop
I had the ENT appt this weekend and I'm going to get Deviated Septum Surgery and he is going to stitch my fallen cartiledge into place (Which means I get my old nose back!) and will be able to breathe better!
I'm making a SBD recipe tonight for Taco Bake it's gotten rave reviews if it's good I'll post it here

I'm doing South Beach diet since about July17 and I've almost lost 15 pounds.

I truly admire you! I can't imagine how you are feeling. dealing, and coping, much less functioning. I guess I could compare how it was to be here in DC on 911. I'm glad to see that you managed to post yesterday and today! Having trouble with keeping up with what day of the week it is, muchless the month, - you are truly remarkable.

I'm sure that it is crazy around there of course. Are there still only 5 houses on your road with electricity? Glad you have yours! Also glad to know that your hubby's family are getting electricity back in Moss Bluff, and some of the family members are trickling back into their houses.

Glad you were able to get into Lake Charles to check out your mom's house. It sounds like our house, since we are in the middle of our kitchen renovation! But seroiously, I'm glad to hear that your mom's house probably had the least damage of any of the homes. Sorry to hear about her shingles, but it's great that an emergency tarp company tarped her whole roof! I can't imagine what it's like to have to deal with all of the devatation and have to be bothered with the heat and the mosquitos! I will keep you in my prayers and also ask Him for a cool front to get down to Loisiana and give everyone some relief, if it is His will.

Aren't bosses a trip?! That's why I'm glad I'm at home now. My kids are trips enough for me! Hope you get a lot of stuff done today, since you have to go into work on Tuesday! Hope that you can get gas in Lake Charles. From what we see on TV, I agree - what a mess!

I don't know what to fill you in on, here in DC, but as far as I'm concerned, there is always chaos here in DC.

right now I am on the Hurricane Rita diet ;-)
but usually I count calories, journal it all down, make sure I drink my water, and walk for exercise and I try to watch the bad carbs.

Hey Casper,

I work in DC and live in Fredericksburg. isn't this wonderful weather we've been having? I spent much of my adult life in Florida & I swear it never got as hit there as it did here this summer. Whew am I glad it's over!
