Hi Gals!

I have walked and did a little laundry.(different locations )
I have made a pot of South Western Chili with Chicken (WW recipe 2 pts per cup)
I have ironed several shirts.
I have tidied up the house.
I have watched the dreadful news about the current Hurricane.

There...that is what I have been doing!

Marbles.I am glad I dont work with you..I would be of your mood! Ha! But you know how to plan a party !

I am about to shower and get dressed. We have ANOTHER Grandparents Open House with Josh this time at 4:30 today!

Later taters

Hope we hear from Cathy.

Hi Ladies
Cin that recipe sounds nummy Share share!
Marb fill a watergun with gravy and shoot it at the butts of people you don't like
it will look like they had a bad accident ahem
I brought the cake to Cathys' bday
I think one of my gfs is trying to sabotage me.
Here's the sitch
the 4 of us 2 skinny 2 voluptuous.
Skinny Girl #1 scoffs at my diet and tries to get me to eat off plan things and i Quote "I'm such an Enabler"
Last night we all went for coffee 3 out of 4 2 voluptuous and 1 Skinny
she orders spinach dip to share and share we did UGH
In the car on the way home I asked both of them to support me in Not having bad stuff. or at least not doing it weekly.
Voluptuous Friend totally Agreed Skinny Friend Said NOTHING.
I'm angry, I'm sure its not a active thing she is doing but I hate passive stuff like this
even if it's subconcious which it probably is.
I just needed to vent
bbiab Kierie

YES!!! go Kierie!!! I'm waiting until Monday when you post that you are in the next category....8's

I'm crashing and burning these days, I can't keep up with the house and work is driving up right over the edge..hmm, the watergun filled with gravy would be perfect....nothing like watching a bunch of professional physicians with *stains*...I will keep that mental picture to help me keep my sanity.

as for your GFs...what kind of a true friend pooh-poohs your actions of improving your body and health? Let's talk esteem issues here.....she's tempting you so your progress gets slowed down and she can remain the "skinny one"....because it sound like she couldn't handle the competition. Hmmm? (i love playing psycho. doc). Turn the tables on the little witch....strengthen your resolve when she pulls this passive/aggresive act and don't keep your mouth shut about it...like Carmela Soprano would say "Call her on her own sh%$^!"

Default New here

Hi!
I just found this site and decided to join. I am lost and not sure what to do. Depression has been a big part of my life the past couple years. In 2 1/2 years I have gained alot of weight. I need to lose 35 pounds. I am barely 5'4-so the weight gain really shows. I compulsively eat. How does everyone support each other?
Thanks,
Carol

Oh dear here we go again. I've never been so happy that all I have to deal with is cold weather and snow. Please all of you in the path of that storm get out of there and be safe.

Last night I had a great trail ride that turned out sort of unhappy. My "friends" that I ride with decided to all turn back and I went on alone because they did not believe me that we would be home before dark. I actuall finnished the ride I had planned and was getting back to the barn a few minuts after they did. They were all just getting off the horses when I rode in. I was really hurt by their distrust considering how much more AI know those trails than they do.

Work was ok we got done really early and I caved and hada bacon cheesburger and salad for lunch so dinner has to be really simple. I am a calorie counter. Well more of a calorie minder, I'm not as strict as I should be about counting them. Going to look at a stabel close to my house tonight I think. Guy needs somone to look after his daughters horse in exchange for board.

Welcome Carol I've had a lot of depression myself. Have a homone disorder that makes life prety uncomfortable at times. It is so nice to come here and talk to others who deal with these issues too.

CATHY – HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! Im so sorry that you have to spend it under stress about Rita… but it looks like Rita is dying down! How are things going out there??

CIN – that chilli sounds yummy! Thanks for the recipe!

KO – I sometimes have situations like that at home with James. He should be watching his cholesterol and when I tell him that or if I say we need to eat healthier he kinda gets moody with me. Then I tell him, I don’t want to be spending my life without him and he gets mushy with me. It’s hard going out with skinny friends tho… Mine do the same thing. Sometimes they will say lets go eat here, and go “Oh, is that okie with you?” So they do think of me sometimes it must be nice ot be able to eat like that and not have to worry.

Devin – WELCOME! This is a great board and the ladies here are very motivating and supportive!

Well ladies…

I’m suppose to be at work right now. However, nature has decided I am to stay home. I got into my car to leave for work this morning and WHAM! Car did not start. Of course this comes AFTER my road side service contract expired on September 1st. It would figure huh? So… I tried calling my dad, my sister, and James. can’t get a hold of no one. Jen is in a meeting (sister)… My dad works 1.5 hours from me and James is in surgery all day. So I called work and took a personal day off. I guess that’s what they give it to us for. I start classes tonight, the one good thing is my friend will be able to pick me up. We have the same class together. Friends are a blessing!

Another good thing is my battery is under warranty. Also I believe it’s still under the time limit for free replacement if the battery tests bad. That’s a good thing too My car seems to be going through batteries like they were nothing. I just got this battery in December 2003. Not sure what’s up with that.

I hope everyone is having a good day!

My thoughts and Prayers are with those who have to deal with yet another Hurricane! (You are in my Thoughts Cathy!)

Sue…

Welcome Carol and just jump in with both feet on any topic. someone will pick up. I'm just becoming my old self after several years of being a complete mess. Of course my "old self" gained weight in the process...

OK Kierie, drink lots of seltzer with lemon..or if you do indulge do a sletzer/wine spritz....and AHEM....this week you haven't said "Marble was RIGHT, I'm too SMALL for WLS"......

OBOYOBOY....I'm thinking of cathy, hope the rita turns away and runs outta steam as it hits land. stay safe cathy, you are in my thoughts.

NJ has nothing like this to deal with. I flip out with a few bugs in the house or this dust from the renovations.

hey gang

yep this is a birthday i will never forget!!!

I was woke up by my dh telling me that the storm had turned, GET UP, oh and happy birthday ;-)

so we got up and started packing up all our home videos and photos and then packed up some clothes and food. I was assuming we were going to a hotel somewhere in Arkansas - silly me - after everything was packed and in the cars, dh's family shows up and I find out we are going to "stay in a church" and we need stuff to sleep on and all that jazz.

So we rode bumper to bumper 100 miles north of our house. I don't think we are far enough out of the storm - but guess it's better than 100 miles closer ???

So now I am sitting on a laptop in a very nice baptist church in Hornbeck, LA. I honestly cannot believe that I went from taking care of evacuees to being one! I could just cry!

We had a mandatory evacuation for our parish, which has never happened before. This storm is huge, and coming in closer than projected.

don't know if we will have electricity up here after this thing hits or not but i will post when i can.

i truly appreciate all of your prayers!
hugs,
cathy
