Default 6-15-05 Wed thread

It's early in the morning, and I"m sitting here with coffee and my guinea pig. The pig has the life. THe rounder it is, the cuter it is...I think the hair has something to do with it. .

Anyway, I did well yesterday. I tried to rollerblade, but I flailed around whenever there was a pebble on the road. Stopping would be a good thing to know how to do. I know that there is fun in there someplace, I just need to find it. Eating wise, I did well. I kept my wits about me, and kept my carbs under control. I ate toast in the morning ( eggs and bacon w/ out toast just isn't right by me.), and I had two graham crackers at night as a snack. I also inflated my exersize ball and messed around with that for awhile. It was more so unintentional exersize, but it's still movement. The only thing I'm really having problems with is the water. I guess diet coke is just more satisfying to me. I'm going to make a rule that I cannot have any soda until I drink my water. I will always open my day with coffee, though.

I'm not into the water, but I'm making myself be. I tried regular V8 juice yesterday, but I was absolutely not impressed, no way I could drink it regularly. Maybe for money.

I see on a lot of posts, people will reffer to DD, and DH...what does this mean? The only thing I can surmise is Dear Daughter, or Dear Husband.. Not much else going on it's only 53 outside, with a hi of 68, so a relatively cool day outside.

I have to work today, but such is life. I'm working towards a three day weekend, so working nine days in row ( uncharacteristic of my job), is worth it.

Also, I started a new yahoo group for opticians. I couldn't find what I wanted so I made one. Getting people to join is different.

Well, it's too early in the a.m. to have anything else to say. I hope it all goes well with everyone else.

Sorry to reply to my own msg, but I just remembered somethign I wanted to ask: how do you eat?
Do you find it's best to eat a large breakfast, small lunch, large dinner? I do WW, and I"m trying to even it out. I find I use about 5 pts for breakfast, five or six for lunch, and 6-8 for dinner, the rest go to snacks or if I'm really hungry. I once heard that it's good to "eat like a king for dinner, a prince for lunch, and a pauper for dinner", but I find that for me, the way my day is situated, that I don't need a huge lunch> Normally a salad w/ cheese and almonds, a fork full of dressing, and some fruit/veg... my water is....working....I'm trying. I have been drinking sugarfree coolaid, and making coolaid cubes to put in said water, adds a hair of flavor. I tried the lemon, but I dont' like lemon, nor do I like tea...I am just too damn picky for somethings, I guess

Good Morning Ateon!!!! YOur area sounds interesting, remember, if you build it, they will come. As I told you, I'm not into water either, but I force myself. Usually I have to flavor it....if you don't like lemon, try a "shot" of your favorite fruit juice in it, Propel fitness water, Fruit 2-oh or raspberry tea. I only drink V-8 juice if I doctor it up with lemon and hotsauce...then I pretend its a bloody mary.

As for roller-blading, here is how I taught my daughter....get some old ski poles to use for balance until you improve. (they will also help you stop)...it's a bit more elegant than hanging onto a fence or moving like a snail in the crouch position.

Its hothotHOT in Jersey.....it didn't get below 82 last night and humid, my hair looks like Don King's...woke up because one of cats (who is fond of sleeping on my head), DROOLED ON ME....yuck! kitty-spit on your forehead is no way to start your day!

Good afternoon all!!
Beautiful day here, unfortunatly I haven't been out enjoying it. I'll have to talk my girls into going for a walk after dinner.
Have to do a quick trip to town, got to get fathers day cards into the mail so that I have a hope that they will be on time. I think they expect them late from me tho!
Oh well, I try. Take care all,
K

Alteaon – hi there! You know.. I bought rollerblades like 3 years ago. I used them once and never used them again. I’m hoping once I loose a few more pounds *cough* like 50 or so heheh, I hope that I’ll give them a try again. I understand the flailing part LOL I never let go out the tree when I tried mine <G> I have been trying to eat a small breakfast a small lunch and a decent sized dinner. Altho I’m wondering if that’s a bad thing. I find that if I slowly eat my breakfasat or lunch through out the day, I can eat a nice sized dinner at night and not get to hungry before bed. I have awful night time cravings!

Okie ladies… I’m out of work for the summer YAY! Today was the last day for me and now I get a summer break… NOT! I still start summer school next week.. awww! Anyways I’m thinking about going down to the elementary schools and seeing if they need any subs for their instructional aids. I could use a little extra money. I did good today. I was craving a soda… but I resisted and I got a bottled water instead. I’ve eaten pretty good so far today. Now just to keep it up hehehe. It’s a new day, lets take this one step at a time!

Must run ladies, one more exam to study for…

Take care everyone!
Sue…

My day is going ok, better than yesterday, for sure;. I've resisited my temtping MDew habit along with Reese's PB CUps. I did however have a diet coke, and 2 extra jenny craig cakes. But, I guess those are better choices than those I made before.

Right now I am cooking chicken parmigiana from the JC cook book. IT looks pretty good. I'll have it with noodles and some veggies.

Well, tomorrow I hope goes even better than today. I weigh in at JC, so let's hope I lose a little bit, at least ?
