Things are busy around here too - seems to be the way it is huh!

I walked after work yesterday but it is just way too hot. At 6 pm it was 90 degrees and hot and humid and it was HOT! Gonna have to stick with my walking videos. Didn't get it in this morning bec I was up waaaaaaaaaaay too late last night.

Gotta spend some time at the DMV today trying to clear up some stuff on my son's wrecked truck. I love the DMV - not!

What's everybody up to?

I Am In A Fashion Crisis!!!!! I *forgot* that I have a black-tie dinner to attend next Saturday.....ALL my ewvening clothes are size 6, 8 or 10 I tried things on, but I look like 10 lbs. of poop in a 5 lb. bag..... (at this point I'm lucky to be a 12).....

I'm thinking this (since I don't want to spend a lot of $$ on "big" clothes) I have a raspberry colored tank with a matching satin cropped jacket with rhinestone buttons and frnech cuffs (which will call attention to my skinny wrists... )...I will buy a solid black hankerchief skirt or asymetrical hem in a body-skimming (not tight) fabric....I'll be hunting the Burlington Coat factory or TJ Maxx this weekend...... do you think this would work? I'm about 5'5" and my thighs are currently 21.25....not too bad, I've got nice heels to jack my butt up....but I don't want to look ridicules.....

what a WASTE.....I have such beautiful EXPENSIVE clothes I ate my way out of......if I don't get back into them I may consider having my mouth glued shut. grrrrrr!

Hi everyone, I've been lurking lately. I haven't missed a post, but I read several days worth at once. Joanne, how did the tests on the ankle go? April, I'm very happy to read that DH is doing so much better. That is an answer to prayers. Sue Marie, every post about putting in a pool brings back memories of my DH and I putting in our pool. Digging the hole was such a pain since we have lots of hardpan to get through. It's worth it though. I love to swim. Marble, you'll look stunning by adding a pretty black skirt and congrats on losing a dress size - just please stop sending them to me...
Cathy, glad to DS's graduation went well. My DS is graduating on the 12th. He's my baby and it's strange to think I'm that old.

I've been struggling lately - hence lack of posts. The weather is still yucky and I'm a big spring/summer person but we seem to be stuck in February's weather. The 3 nice days I was happy and just glowing, but now the cold is back and I'm drooping again. Food is my friend during cold days and I've been eating too much. I'm asking DH to give me back my scale tonight so I'll be more accountable. Weighing everyday is better than eating my way out of the blues. I'm seeing dr. next Thursday about Xenical. I had one prescription about 2 years ago and have been taking it lately (almost out). The side effects are minimal if I don't overeat so I'm going to give it a real concentrated effort.

Take care everyone and I'll be back again soon.
Marie

Hey Marie:

I also take Xenical....along with Meridia...I'd tell you how much I've lost if I did not have scale-o-phobia...but the pants-o-meter is encouraging (I'm guessing I'm at 20# loss)...I've noticed this lately...if I exercise with strong cardio in a consistent way (I'm on week #6 of 4 hours+ p[er week), I have very little side-effects...(we know the issue without going into details)...is this because I'm actually BURNING FAT? oh if it were true!

Thanks Kier for the info., that's a bit of a haul for me, but I just may need to do it. My top part of the outfit is a raspberry tank with the matching jacket, it's a close-fitting knit, it looks OK, there is no bra overhang and no visable "spillage", my arms are tight from the weight-work, but I need to shrink all over and it ain't gonna happen by next SATURDAY!

but it's time to bite the bullet and step up the pace....( extra time for working out and salad with salmon and lemon for lunch)...I'll tweak the diet for a week and see if I can make faster progress...protein/vegetables/fiber/.water....YUCK how boring!

Okie ladies... I haven't weighed myself in a while and today I did... ummm, I guess I shouldn't be suprised, I haven't been monitoring my food very well, tho I haven't been pigging out either. However, I did gain 2lbs... I'm hoping it's because I think aunt flo is going to be here soon. I have a major headache, however, I'm going to go do some more yard work and try to get some stuffed bagged and maybe rip up some sprinkler heads. OOHH!! And we have our dirt being delivered tommorrow so I gotta make sure we have a space laid out for it to be dumped in our yard lol... add that to the list

Sorry for no replies, it's been rather hectic here and I'm trying to keep up with my posting because I know if I stop, I'll go haywire. You ladies keep me on my toes!

Okie I'm outta here... take care everyone!

Smooches!
Sue...
