CIN, I can only tell you what a-fib is like for me. My sister also has it and our mother had it. I've been hospitalized three times, been shocked once (that's a blast-thought I was hallucinating), stressed tested twice and run through the whole blasted mess of tests at a heart institute. With me, I always get it between 4:00AM and 6:00AM. I've been told to take the meds immediately, which I do and to take them again a few hours later if it reoccurs as it did this morning. I sometimes, like this morning, get very nausiated(sp?).

Also, I get VERY tired and I was told that is because my heart ran a marathon without me! I also have bladder control problems after (like that is something new to me!)

Getting shocked was so funny. I fell asleep talking to a heart specialist and woke up talking to my general practitioner. i didn't know that I had been "out" and they resembled each other. I thought, "Cool, one doc turned into another one!"

As for when to call the doctor, I use my own judgement. The last time, my heart had went back into normal rhythm by the time I got to the hospital.

Cathy, the young person is almost sixteen now. I'm betting that you and a ew others have guessed who it is. I won't say yet until I've talked to the family and also until I've quit reeling.

gosh such a lot of posts and "life happens" today huh.

I wanna give all my buddies a great big hug! can ya feel the love!

Liz - I'm so sorry you are feeling down. hope it gets better! (((((( hugs )))))))

Lynnie - I'm praying for you - that all goes well with your 2nd interview, that you will be at peace and be able to be yourself and that this job will come thru for you, unless the Lord has something better for you!

Tippy - ((((((( hugs)))))) I certainly understand the "reeling". You know I'm here if you want to talk. When my oldest son started having problems at 15, we got him to a doc and he said "anxieties and depression" I was ok with that but knew it was more than that. Several months later, when meds weren't helping, I got him to the best doc in our area for chemical imbalances and in a few months got the diagnosis of Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD). At first I thought YES! we finally know what we are dealing with and have the right diagnosis. I came back to my office and got on the internet and started doing some research on BDD and the more I read the worse it got. I got plumb sick to my stomach and proceeded to go in the bathroom and puck my guts out (sorry for being so blunt). But it was just so overwhelming and depressing and disappointing and unbelievable even! After a year of the right meds and counseling AND FINDING HIS VERY LOW THYROID PROBLEM (which I am now understanding is probably the biggest part of what he is dealing with) and getting him on 4 to 5 grains of Armour Thyroid a day - well he finally started doing much better and has continued to be better and better and is living life! On a bad day he still deals with "feeling ugly" (even tho he is very nice looking) but he has learned to deal with it.

I say all of that to say that there is hope and that it will get better! I know it may not seem like it right now but I'm here to tell ya that there is!

((((((((HUGS)))))))))

I am soooo bloody well pissed off right now! I just got a call from the Chef from my evening job at my day job. He said i did a horrible close last saturday nite, like i didn’t clean the elements or fill the sauces etc. well piss on him! i told him i was kind of busy and that i was stuck there till midnite cleaning and doing dishes because we don’t have a dishwasher on (in fact from 4 til close im the only person there). He showed up at 9:30 ish to make sure i was doing ok and his response was that he could have done all the stuff for a proper close and still been out at 11pm. i’m angry. he hasn’t worked a saturday nite (other than private parties) as long as he’s been working there (which is less time than me btw) and has no idea how busy it was before he got htere. not to mention the fact that im still recovering from a broken hand (my right and i’m right-handed) and can’t do a lot of stuff. i shouldn’t even realy be back at the restaurant yet but they were short staffed so i went back to work. i’m just uber pissed off and had to rant and since no one’s around here’s the place to do it. .... i just have to remember no chocolate or chips to calm down...... that will just make me feel worse.

and to top it off i have to work there in 2 hours!

WHEW! You ladies are hard to keep up with LOL! Definately keeps me on my toes. Today was a good day for me... did I mention I weighed in and I gained a pound?? A little depressing, but I'm okie with it. I'm honestly suprised I didn't gain more back, since the majority that was lost was because I was sick and didn't eat much. But I'm okie with it. I still got what?... 2 weeks to loose it and 2 more *grins* I think I'll just try to keep to the one pound and go from there... all in due time. Altho I need to get my act together... it's getting harder tho, because I am getting to the point of where I'm going to be graduating HOPEFULLY this winter term... which means I've gotta work on my CSET CBEST and look into a credential program as well as re apply for this and that... whew... plus it's almost finals and I need to get my notes all together to prepare for studying... Does it ever seem like there's never enough time to do anything fun anymore?

Gotta love stress!

Sue...

Hi, busy day yesterday and my baby didn't sleep last night or the night before so I'm rather tired today. But I started a food plan today. I've read both of Dr. Gullo's books and the South Beach Diet and I've decided I'd do good fats, good carbs, adequate protein, and high fiber (all with standard servings, not my normal gigantic ones). Had to do a little grocery shopping, but not much. I've also been trying to get in my 2 mile walks each day, so far I only missed 2 out of 6 days so I'm doing pretty good. I'll start weighing myself when I find the scale (we just moved in December and still can't find lots of stuff).

Welcome to the newbies. I'm one too!

everyone, I read all your posts and you are all in my thoughts today.

Hang in there.

Nefarious you can rant here anytime you want
Ericka good for you for putting together a plan
SueMarie we like keeping you on your toes
Cathy, your a busy bee lately at work or is it my imagination lol
Liz, sorry your so down sis, hang in there and try to have fun at Disney.

Marble, did the doctor just put you on Meridia? how do you like it?

Kierie what kind of salad had that much salt in it? I'm curious. I rarely eat at McDonalds and never realized they were salty. If I get a salad at a fast food place its usually Wendy's or BurgerKing and thats only because they are closer to me. I try to stay away from fast food places b/c I always make bad choices

Cin whatcha cookin today ? got anything in that crock pot? DH made some little red potatoes w/ckn and spices in the crock the other day, it came out pretty good.

Kathy, glad WW is going good for you. Its hard to find something that works but boy when you do... "STICK W/IT" I'm rootin you on girl.

Tippy feel better

Lynnie hang in there !!

Joanne, how are you ? come out and play

April where are you ? We do miss you ya know....
