Brrr, it's COLD,the weather keeps changing daily, warm, cold = get sick. i have to give oral exams to med students today complete with "victims" (no they are not allowed to touch them)..... that means I get a double whammy of having to eat chinese take-out for lunch and not being able to hit the gym

this weekend I have plans to meet a friend for dinner (where i won't be able to resist something fattening) and my nails, catching up on the disaster in my house, and getting my taxes to the accountant. See yall later, have a great day!

HI everyone

I won't even try to catch up......I have had so much trouble getting into this site all week.

I am so busy now..........I am having 20 people to dinner on Sunday for turkey dinner...........a belated birthday party for dd 7....and a sorta touching base farewell before we go away.

I have all the packing to do, my entire house to clean, shopping, organizing homework for dd 13............wow did this trip come fast. We leave one week today........one week in disney and then flying out from there to Cancun. I am a tad overwhelmed.......but I only work one 12 hour shift between now and leaving so that is pretty decent. So I have to keep things in perspective.

Gotta run.........sorry I am out of the loop here...........hang in there everyone!

Hello and hugs!!

Eliz

Default Prayer Request!

good morning gang!

I had emailed Cin bec I was concerned about her dear hubby since she had not posted since Monday. I received an email back this morning and she asked me to pass this info along to you guys and ask that you please PRAY PRAY PRAY for him...

She took dh to the emergency room Tuesday night and he has been in the hospital since. He has some sort of small bowel blockage and is in terrible pain - the scan yesterday showed it was no longer there but he is still in pain so today they are checking out his stomach. The Cardiologist is also involved but wants his stomach problems solved first and then will deal with the heart problems.

Please keep Cin and her dear hubby in your prayers!

I will let you know when I hear anything.

hugs,
cathy

I will keep CIN and her husband in my thoughts and prayers. How scarey for them.

I am going on a shopping trip with my daughter tomorrow---out of town---yay! It will be nice to get away for a day. I think I am really started on the road to real results. I had an upsetting experience yesterday---was told I had a job and then told oops, they couldn't hire me. Normally, I would have decided I derserved to eat---or eating would comfort me. But I really wanted to stay on WW, so I ate a bunch of raw vegies instead. I did have a couple of candies that weren't exactly counted, but I did so much better than I have in a long time, and it wasn't that hard. So I think I am definitely committed to this new way of eating. Today will be my fifth day. Still working on how many points are in what and how to count actitivity points, so I am not being perfect, but I am doing so much better. Believe me, if I can do it, anyone can. Have a good day, everyone.

Angry

TDKKathy---GOOD FOR YOU!!!! do that happy dance and be sure to pat yourself on the back lots because it is such an improvement (no matter how small the change)
kathyxxx----I'm an admin. in surgery for a large medical school, I plan the lives of 240 3rd and 4th year med. students who have to take this required course for 8 weeks and 4 weeks each year.... we have 2 sets of exams for the 3rd years, orals and written (next week)...don't worry I have the answers in front of me and they aren't allowed to touch my "fake patients", but they can kill them off verbally by giving the wrong DX. They are graded by the surgeons who teach. (I'm not a doc., I refer to myself as the "party-planner" and set each student up individually with a mentor, collect a million different grades and prepare their transcripts for when they graduate and hope to become a specialized surgery resident. That takes another 8 years.

(all the men I date are doctors and ALL seem to be socially challenged or crippled, for someone who should be so smart, they don't have a clue about the real world....the last one could not even navigate the produce department in Pathmark...."look at those vegetables! how do you cook them?")

I'm sorry to hear about Cin's husband, a bowel obstruction can be very painful, is it diverticulitis, maybe Crohns?...I wouldn't even venture a guess, but hope he stabilizes.

I can't wait to get out of work, I'm sick of this place today!

I must be feeling better! Tonight I bowle da 210 game!!! I'm like excited. Oh I also won some side pots 25 bucks is a nice thing to have in your pocket, especially when you shell out all that money to pay for league fees. Yes, I'm definately feeling better.

Soon I can start getting back into regular exercising again (not quite 100% tho).
