Good Morning Gals,
Whats is happening? Someone afraid to start chat since it is Friday the 13th!

I am not.I have never believed in such things!

I started the day at the Vet's office with what I thought was an ailing OLD dog.........................just an old fart is what he is! He perked up and they found nothing wrong and it costs me $40!

Daughter said he has not eaten in 3 days and is laying around........well he is 14 in September.Doc said he is perfectly fine!

Must run some errands.

Hope everyone checks in today....we miss you when you dont!

Good Morning Gang!

I see 2 Friday chat threads - Cin and Leen must have been starting them at the same time.

Cin - I totally agree with ya girlie! no superstitions here either. This is the day that the Lord has made and I will rejoice and be glad in it.

Leenie - enjoy your afternoon. I will be cleaning house tomorrow *sigh* and then Sunday is the first day of our new sunday school year, so I will have all new girls, and a co leader helping with my class. Never had a co leader before, not sure how it will work or how I will like it, but I will give it a sincere try. I use to be sooooooo flexible, of course, I use to be sooooooo young too! LOL

Judomom - great BIG hugs girlie! We will all keep praying for things to work out.

The funeral and services all went fine yesterday. We enjoyed visiting with all of the family at my grandfather's house afterwards. It was nice to see some people that we haven't seen for years because they live in other states.

It's busy here with payroll and such. Need to go to Super Walmart on my way home today to get groceries. Wonder what I'm doing for supper tonite? I have not a clue. hehe

Ran to Dollar Store and Sams..back home.ate BIG lunch on program of course......been on the new WW plan for 5 days straight!BRAVO for me..any plan 5 days in a row is an accomplishment.It is just sticking to it one day at a time.isnt it?

Cathy..glad all went as well as can be expected yesterday...it is always nice to gather family together even after a funeral. We need more famly gatherings.

Hello Ladies!

CIN & Cathy - Superstition...well I for one have just a tad bit of it. Since it's friday the 13th, I've got my lucky rabbits foot, four leaf clover, I won't walk under any ladders and I painted my neighbors black cat white... Nah, not too superstitious!

Oh! Cathy, I tried to make roux LOL ummm from that one website I saw in a post from either you or Leenie to me. I umm burnt it. It said to watch out for black flakes... well mine had black flakes. I'm gonna go to another grocery store and see if I can find some of this roux. Actually, maybe I can find a cajun store in the yellow pages. I just wanted to let you know I haven't given up hehehe...I am glad things went well at the family meeting and the funeral *big hugz*

Yesterday we went to Soak City... it was a bit depressing at first. It was suppose to be a nice day, high 80's said the weather man. When we got there it was over cast... still warm, but I was wishing the sun would come out. Then after noon... the sun came out and then I was wishing the sun would go away nothing like cooking your feet on hot cement while standing in line for a tube ride!

I have a good question for you ladies... why do they call it sunblock? Because I remember on my vacation I used this stuff called sun black and I came back looking like a lobster... so I figured lets try some new sun block. So again, I look like a lobster...it was suppose to be sports version where it was extra water proof AND sweat proof.

We had a fun time tho... Oh and I managed to find a bathsuit too LOL. Almost didn't, we decided that we wanted an underwater camera so we went to walmart on the way to soak city and I figured it couldn't hurt to look, and I found a really cute one. I wa happy because the one I had, the inner lning was ripped. It was an old swimsuit, it had to go sometime or another. This was it's time. Other than being a lobster, all is well... I hope everyone is doing well...

SueMarie, I used the sunblock that Leenie suggested and I still burned and tanned! I give up!

Today, we bought Roger two new suits. Oh, he needed them so much. I'm betting his old suits were 20 years old. He will look so spiffy! We also bought him a long sleeved white shirt for winter and a new tie! He got a hair cut too cause he was looking a bit shaggy.

Went to Hobby Lobby too cause I needed some fabric for a couple of crafts I'm doing and we did some grocery shopping too.

Busy, busy weekend. Sunday is the Ordination of our new cutie-pie Pastor. (Hey, I'll never get too old so I'll not appreciate a good looking man!) Then there is the reception. Oh, and in the morning, Cutie Pie will perform a Baptism on his brand new son. So....if I'm not posting, it's cause I'm busy. Will be thinking of you all though.
