Good Morning Gang!

Thanks for asking Leenie! I did 2 miles this morning. That makes 13 miles so far for August. My diet is good, I'm being good. counting calories and writing everything down, drinking my water, but I need to be eating more veggies then I'm getting in.

Busy at work this morning...no one will leave me alone long enough to play on the computer.

will check back later.

Hope everybody has a BLESSED day!

hugs,
cathy

good morning gals

Son started last week of his rehab today. I pray he will stick with it after. But I will need to remind myself this is HIS journey and I can only support him, not control him. Yikes! Maybe I am progressing with this "control" thing.

The back is doing well. I've had 2 (and so far, today makes 3) pain free days. I'm doing my exercises for it along with my gym workout and it's helping. I should be doing my back exercises 2x a day, but I am not going to beat myself up about it. Some days I do them 2x a day, but most often it's 1x a day.

Diet is doing well. I've stalled out (AGAIN) at 9 pounds... but I'm sticking with it. Perhaps it's because I'm back to the gym. The physio warned me I may stall out or show a pound or two gain now that I'm getting back into the groove, as muscle will be building again. *sigh... dern scale But, the clothes are fitting oh so much better!

Daughter and I went fabric shopping yesterday. I bought fleece to make myself a fall jacket. And we bought a simple skirt pattern and some material for daughter to learn to sew. I can't believe she wants to! This is the gal who opted for wood and metal working instead of home-ec... the judo, rugby, (now wants to try boxing) tom-boy daughter I have!! I can see the skirt tho *lol... she'll wear pants and funky shoes with it... she's into the Cyndi Lauper look.

Leenie, hope you get back on track today! Good for you for letting yourself enjoy your birthday!!!! That's important.

Cathy, you go girl! Your walking goals amaze me. I don't think I've ever seen/known anyone so committed to exercise as you!

Hope everyone else is doing well. Have a wonderful day.

I'm so exhausted! About 2:00AM my heart went off to the races...atrial fibrillation! I monitored it and took my meds as per the specialist. I finally slept about 4:30. It seems I get terribly weak from that for some reason and, don't laugh, my bladder control is weakened!

Well, yesterday we said good-bye to our interum minister and it was a teary time. We sang "God Be With You" (until we meet again). There were a lot of damp hankerchiefs. We knew when he came that he would be leaving, but that didn't make it any easier. He came when we needed him so badly and his faith and dedication inspired us to greater things.

I have some miraculous news! Less than a year ago, a friend and fellow church member started having seizures. Three brain tumors and cancer in her lymph nodes were detected. She has been in a nursing home since April because her DH is in his 80's and can't care for her. BTW,his first wife died of brain cancer! Anyway...the doctors ran four hours of tests on her and they find NO CANCER in her body and the tumors have disappeared. Indeed, our prayers have been answered!

Hello Ladies...

What an exhausting weekend...Well I had my exam and well, it wasn't as hard as the practice tests I had from those practice study guides I bought. However I am still nervous about my results. I get my scores sometimes between Aug 23rd and Aug 30th. Nothing like stressing out waiting for the exam and then stressing out waiting for the scores I think I've got my health back... enoguh to start exercising again. In the meantime tho, I have managed to keep my weight under control I think I even lost a pound... hehehe...

Cathy - Glad to see you are still exercising hehehe... I gonna get myself back on program!

CIN - I'm glad to see you are feeling better as well! *huggerz*

Gonna do some house cleaning, we gonna go to a water park... Yikes... but you know... I'm gonna go bathing suit shopping. I haven't worn a bathing suit ina long time. I have one, but it's old and torn. I figured I could wear a swimsuit to the water park... LOL I'm still nervous tho... I usually wear shorts and a tank top whenI go to the beach... Altho I might try to find a reeeaaalllly long shirt to go over my swim suit heheh, but we'll see... Still a big girl, but feeling good about things hehehe...

I'll catch everyone later...

Ohh I'm in and out right now... I'll try to post when I can, I just got done reformating my desktop computer and so I'm on m laptop right now. I am trying to get the desktop set back up with email and all that, then hopefully I'll be able to post more often...

Take care ladies!
