Tippy YEAH !!! I'm so glad you got a healthy clean bill of health, boy if that ain't worth celebrating (KFC

and some cheese cake ) <--- just kidding
Kem, looks like your not seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. I think once you have that in your focus its gonna make your job alot easier to stand. How soon until your done with school ?
Cathy, Yes its the nutrasweet/aspartame that is a no no. I don't know if its caff free, but I didn't care I drank it anyway, and I think one glass isn't going to hurt. They say jello isn't alowed on induction but I think everyone who's done atkins needed just a little (I buy the pre made ones in those little cups, the portion control is all figured out) I do remember making it and me and hubby eating a ton of jello just b/c we are such sweetacholics and it didn't effect our weight loss one bit.
Coleslaw
I buy the bags already shredded but when your on induction, your not supposed to have carrots and the bags have carrots. So, here's the recipe w/just plain cabbage.
Approx 8 Cups of shredded cabbage (1/2 of a big head should do it)
10 pks splenda
1 teaspoon celery salt
3 Table Spoons Heavy Cream or Light Cream
3 Table Spoons Water
1 Table Spoon of Vinegar (white) if you like more just add it, I'm not a vinegar person.
Mayo (full fat, we use helmans) 1 - 2 cups depending, you'll be able to tell when your mixing it in
Add all ingredience as listed above, for the mayo, just keep adding in until creamy but not thick, if that makes sense.
Refrigerate over night, you really need to do this so all the flavors mix. The next day just mix again, if you need more mayo add, but most likely you will not.
We live on this stuff, I eat about 1/2 cup a day, no more b/c of calories (mayo) I don't know how many calories it has so I just follow what FitDay has for Coleslaw.
Its wonderful when you want something crunchy and sweet at dinner, which I always do. I love apple sauce w/chicken and this coleslaw as a subsitute does the trick.
Hope you like it as much as we do.
I am thinking of making a cheese cake recipe soon, like this weekend. Don't forget Cathy, you can have atkins cheese cake on induction but be aware, calories are high mmmmmmmmm !!!!! lol
I'm starting to drool.... lol
