I want to get consistent with 3 times a week and then 4 (eventually) and finally work up to 5 days a week on a consistent basis. I feel really far from that right now, but I will focus on taking baby steps and one day, one workout at a time. PROGRESS and not perfection!!! My eating was good for a long time, too, but I have been continuing to eat when I'm not still hungry lately and I'm not sure why (other than I love food). I have done a little better at getting control over that the past few days.

Home life has been pretty good for the most part. (I am always SO hesitant to write that, because ~ I swear ~ all **** breaks loose within a day after I come here and write that!) Let's hope that doesn't happen this time!!! One thing I am really struggling with is that my handicapped daughter, who is a senior in high school, will graduate in late May and will most likely live on campus at a nearby college in the fall. I am pretty sure I have mentioned this before, but it is always on my mind these days. Even though the college is only half an hour away from our home, it scares the living daylights out of me!!! Mostly, I fear for her safety. She is a target since she walks with a walker and couldn't run away from an intruder. She is also still very dependent on us for a lot of physical needs, but this might be a good thing for her to get more independent (or realize that she isn't ready for this step of living on her own yet). There are just so many little details that we need to plan for that most able-bodied people take for granted. It overwhelms me and I don't want to forget anything. I want her to be as prepared as possible for college and dorm life. I have to remember that it won't be perfect, though, and much of it will need to be learned as she goes. I also hope and pray that people will accept her as she is and that she won't get picked on or anything. The school seems to be very accepting of diversity, so I am hoping that won't be a problem. She has always been with the same group of classmates in elementary school and high school, so they grew up with her and are used to her special needs. College will be a whole new group of people and a whole new experience for her. I just pray it will be a positive experience for her!

One awesome thing that has happened since I last posted is that IT IS OFFICIALLY SPRING!!!!!!!!! I am SO incredibly happy about that!!! Still waiting for the consistently warmer weather in Ohio though. And I will take this opportunity to wish you all a very HAPPY EASTER!!! My nephew is proposing to his longtime girlfriend on Saturday and my niece who just had a very serious health scare is coming in town from Colorado, so we will have a lot to celebrate on Easter Sunday!

I had taken notes as I read through all of the posts and planned to do personals, but now it's late and I'm out of steam. Sorry!
Kathleen so good to hear from you! first Yay for the mantra Progress Not Perfection it is so true. And yeah, why else would we want to eat when not hungry, because food is so darn good I hope HOPE HOPE that your statement of things being good at the moment does not backfire!!! And of COURSE you are worried to no end about having to release your daughter to be part on her own, that is so hard for a parent and yes, especially a mom!! but you have raised her well and she will have support and professionals around her and she will do great and yes Hooray for Spring, it surely takes aLOT longer time to arrive here but things are moving in the right direction for sure. How nice for your nephew and yay to celebrate good things together on Easter Sunday!

well the day is drawing near when the RB will no longer be my miserable, idiotic, immature boss This Sunday will be my last day working for him, yeah working Easter Sunday, 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. And the very next day I meet the new boss and we do all the paperwork to become his employees. And we will have a meeting on expectations...finally, some structure to that madhouse!! it will be a total 180 degree turnaround from the no rules circus that it's been. The other employees are quaking with fear and anxiety..I am welcoming the new Mr. Rules, Regulations, and Consequences For Your Actions

Hi everyone,

I’ve been kind of blah lately and discouraged.
Tonight after work I’m going to take it easy and get a pedicure.
I am looking forward to my workouts on Saturday and Sunday.

Sorry you are struggling panda. Keep up the exercise, it'll do you good and remember, do it for yourself.

April is almost here. I'll be 51, soon.

I am in limbo. I don't get paid until Tuesday. Hopefully, it'll get here soon.

I get weighed on Monday. I have an appt with Trudy on monday at 10 am. I'm worried.

Lisa good luck for your weigh in today - I hope all your hard work with the personal trainer shows I'm glad your knee is nearly better.

Holly I'm clueless why your colleague wore a pink onesie out the house, never mind to work! Hopefully the new owners will sort her out. Let us know how you got on today sorry you lost your time off though, we all need a break, and you deserve one after all your snow shovelling!

Kathleen I'm keeping fingers crossed (was going to say touching wood, but don't know if that's a saying over there, otherwise you'd think I was giving TMI ) you aren't jinxing things! I have to say though, when I went to college, all the high school cliques faded away, and people were far more accepting of who you were. People who were mocked for any disabilities in high school just didn't have the same exposure in college, so I'm sure your daughter will be ok!

pandacupcake sorry the scales are going up despite all your hard work! Do you take any measurements at all? Sometimes the scales say one thing, while the measuring tape says another. Take things easy for a bit, maybe step down to weekly weigh-ins instead?

We had a really nice week in Spain, it was sunny, warm and dry - what more could you ask for! Oh boy did I fall off my diet though! I think I ate a bit of everything I had cut out, except gluten, and I suffered for it big time! But despite that, we ate less and healthier than ever before on holiday, and I gained more than I have ever gained before - 8 lbs in a week !! Back to the diet today

I hope everyone is having a Happy Easter!

Coop27: I’m glad you had a great vacation. I don’t know what areas you went to but last year my bf took me to Barcelona and Madrid and both were great.

I had an ok weekend. It’s snowing now.

I made it to all my weekend workouts.
I have my annual dr appt today/ day off.

I’m going to stop at my storage unit to pickup some fitness dvds.

Just Barcelona for us I would love to visit other parts though!

Well done on making it to your exercise classes! Hope you see the benefits on the scales soon!

Hi all
I am back again. I thought I could post again in my regular 3fc thread. But I am just too depressed to be anywhere on 3fc but a thread where I know its okay to be myself. I removed my sig. So just to let people know, I lost 108 lbs. Have stayed within reasonable range for around 5 years now. Gaining a bit. But I had lost a bit too much. So that was perfect.

Maintaining is sometimes more precarious than losing. Although I never want to put myself again in the position of gaining a lot. I did that most of my life, up and down. Depression, anxiety etc was not a small contributor.

I will do personals in a couple of hours. I think the way I need to do this is post every day even when no one else has posted. Just keep posting my progress. I have to lose some weight to visit my elderly mother. She does fat shaming. I will lose what I can of what I gained. And then gain it back when I get home. Sorry if this is TMI. Feeling very vulnerable right now. But I will survive ......and prevail !!!!! Personals in a couple of hours. Thanks for this thread.
